After Dana White's comments about a potential UFC' return for Tiny Jimenez, all hope seemed lost about a future match against Alex Pereira until AJ's mom, Charly, who works for the UFC, reached out for an inside scoop.
"You owe me this interview.. Everyone is talking online about this fight & you haven't responded to Dana White's comments yet.. Let me interview you on my podcast, Tiny." Charly said to Tiny via text.
He contemplated whether he should continue to entertain the idea or just let it go.. Reluctantly, he responded, "For you, I'll do it.."
Without hesitation, she booked a flight to Phoenix & the cameras started rolling.

"I'm here with Tiny Jimenez, former UFC middleweight & light heavyweight champion.. The point guard for the Phoenix Suns for the past six seasons.."
After recreating Will Smith's pose, Tiny snapped into shape for the interview.
"Recently UFC president, Dana White, shut down a future fight with you & Alex 'Poatan' Pereira. I know you, & all of us, were shocked to hear that callout in the first place. Can you just tell us how hearing your name called out felt & your immediate reaction?"

"I'm not going to lie, I was surprised. It's an honor. Alex Pereira is world class. He's as good as it gets. & to him, the only thing left on his fight resume is to beat me? It was a no-brainer, Charly. Let's do it! I would be absolutely honored to share the octagon with him.."
"Dana White doesn't agree.. Why do you think?"
"Ahh who gives a fuck what Uncle Dana thinks? It's what the fans want. It's a dream match up.. & honestly, Charly.. It really brings me back.. I remember calling Jon Jones out years ago.. There's no way you'll get that fight, Tiny, they said. Then Jones entertained it. He was the one to beat for me to feel like I... made it. & we know how that ended.. That victory forever changed my life & cemented my legacy as one of the UFC's best champions of all time. So actually, I'm honored to be called out & I would take this fight win or lose.."
"& you work for the man, still. Come on, Charly. Talk to your boss for me." Tiny said with a laugh.
"Dana! It's what Alex wants. It's what Tiny wants. Why aren't we making it happen?!" She said to the camera.
"I want to thank Tiny for giving me this opportunity to get his thoughts on everything & hopefully we get to see these two goliaths meet in the octagon sooner than later.."
"Thank you, Charly. It's been a pleasure.. But you know this reminds me of the first time you ever interviewed me.."
Blushing, Charly immediately cut to end the video before lightly punching Tiny in the stomach.
"Oh my god, seriously?! Well that's going viral.." she said under her breath.
"Speak of the devil!" Tiny said as their daughter AJ approached the two of them. Charly took that opportunity to hit Tiny one more.

"Hey, baby girl." Charly said as she hugged her daughter.
"You look like you've been practicing your jui jitsu today.." She said to AJ.
"Every day, Mom." she replied.
"One day I want to be just like Dad! UFC champion! & maybe you can interview me one day!"
Tiny laughed & hugged his daughter & her mother at the same time.
"You know what I think? I think that you will be even better than me one day.. Just keep training hard every day.. You'll get there. I believe in you." he said as he kissed AJ on the cheek.
"We believe in you.." Charly added.
AJ grinned as she embraced both of her parents for their support as a thirteen year old who dreams of one day being UFC champion.
