No Boyfriend, After All.
After a couple of days passed, I decided to ask Autumn about if she had a boyfriend at school. With an immediate stern look on her face, she blurted "
NO!"
"AJ! Did you tell Dad I had a boyfriend?!" Autumn shouted as AJ was watching tv nearby.
"No... I didn't tell Dad." AJ lied as she walked over towards us while I was painting.
"She didn't tell me. I just thought I would ask just in case you wanted to invite him over to your birthday party next week.. You know I know all of your teachers. Anybody could've told me."
"No, Dad! I mean, I can invite him, but he's not my boyfriend! We're friends & friends only!"
"If you want to invite Gio over than you can. I'd like to meet him." I said as I tried to encourage my daughter rather than embarrass her.
"I swear I didn't say a word!" AJ said as she began to look suspicious to her twin sister.
"AJ didn't tell me anything. I just thought I would ask.."
"Okay... Well I am sorry for yelling at you, AJ." Autumn said to her sister as the two made up for what could've been an awkward interaction.
The two hugged & I decided not to probe any further. Autumn doesn't seem like she has a boyfriend at school, or maybe she's not ready to admit it to me. Either way, I'm happy my girls are still best friends & are able to make up amid controversy. I love my daughters, & the rest of my Jimenez Gang, more than words can describe.. even if it means not ratting out August to Autumn.
Now, I wish I could say that my daughter, Wednesday, was closer to her siblings like Tsi & Jermall are.
But they're just kids & Wednesday enjoys being tough to relate to.. However, if push came to shove, I know she would have her brothers & sisters back in any situation.
Despite all of today's events, it's time to show my wife, Faria, just how crazy I am about her. She's one of a kind (literally). & you know what they say... Happy wife, happy life.
