Texas State hires Jaleel Mosley as offensive coordinator

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Texas State has hired Jaleel Mosley as its next offensive coordinator, head coach G.J. Kinne announced Tuesday.

Mosley spent the 2026 season as offensive coordinator at UL Monroe, where he led the Warhawks to one of the largest offensive turnarounds in the country in his first year calling plays.

Mosley replaces Landon Keopple, who left to become head coach at Southern Arkansas.

"Jaleel's track record speaks for itself, and he's someone who's earned this opportunity through a lot of hard work over a long career," Kinne said in a statement. "We're excited about what he brings to our staff and to our offense."

Mosley, a San Antonio native, spent seventeen years as an assistant before taking over as ULM's play caller in 2026, his most recent stop prior to that being the quarterback's coach at Colorado State.

"This is a special opportunity, and I'm grateful to Coach Kinne for the trust," Mosley said. "Texas State has built something real here, and I'm looking forward to getting to work with this staff and this roster."
