I say 5% he does something off the wall, like I suggested in the CB

but it depends on what year you're at right now. If I counted correctly, you're in 2025?

Porter Davis was spotted Monday morning at Orlando International Airport, immediately fueling speculation that the former Arkansas head coach could be in town regarding UCF's vacant head coaching position.

Photos of Davis walking through the terminal quickly circulated across social media, with many connecting his arrival to the Knights' ongoing coaching search.

Neither Davis nor UCF has commented publicly, and no interview has been confirmed. However, multiple industry sources told Gridiron Report that Davis has remained in contact with UCF officials throughout the search process and is viewed as one of several serious candidates.

One source familiar with the discussions described conversations between the two sides as "ongoing," while cautioning that no deal has been finalized.

"There are still steps left if this gets done," the source said. "But there's definitely mutual interest."

Another longtime coaching industry source believes the process may be nearing its conclusion.

"I'd be surprised if Porter Davis isn't announced as UCF's next head coach before the day is over," the source said. "Everything I've heard over the last 24 hours points in that direction."

Whether that timeline ultimately proves accurate remains to be seen. Davis has been connected to multiple opportunities throughout this hiring cycle and has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to move deliberately rather than rush into his next position.

Still, his appearance in Orlando is the strongest indication yet that his return to college football could be approaching.

For now, all eyes remain on UCF as one of the offseason's most closely watched coaching searches continues to unfold.
