Napoli Make Major Splash as January Window Opens with Camavinga Signing

Sonia Bompastor continues to demonstrate she has incredible pull with top French talent. 27 year old midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, has agreed to make the move from Newcastle United to Napoli for a £110M fee. Camavinga was cast out of Real Madrid a few years ago and has been languishing in a mid-to-upper mid table Newcastle side for the past several years. Napoli presents an option for him to rebuild his career at the highest level of European football. He will slot straight into the #5 shirt and the LCM role in Bompastor's 3-1-4-2 formation next to Nico Rovella and in front of Sandro Tonali. This move gives Napoli one of the strongest midfields in all of Europe.

To help finance the deal, Napoli have also agreed to sell right-back Rico Lewis to Paris St. Germain for a £103M fee. Lewis had been playing LCM for the majority of the season, but is not a natural fit there and is seen as a long-term replacement for Achraf Hakimi in Paris.
