There was a time during Ruben Amorim's 3-4-2-1 era, where fans questioned his ability to play in the center of midfield, arguing that one of the two number 10 spots would be a better match for him. I do actually enjoy having to cope this way from time to time. In stead of having 3-4 options for every position, starving some players for game time, I like to cover for injuries and fatigue by utilizing a few versatile players, this way also having a smaller squad to nurture.
