He actually had like seven or eight teams before Chelsea. According to him, he left Arsenal because the English press was killing him... Wenger always dreamed of pairing him with Henry but it didn't come to fruition, I don't know yet if I'll make it happen here

Going back in time brings opportunities to change the course of history. I like the idea of making an Anelka/Henry partnership at Arsenal. But how would that influence Bergkamp? With his recent in game form, perhaps that's not the biggest concern. But knowing history and Bergkamp's place in Arsenal and Premier League lore, it would be a shame to see him frozen out...

Bergkamp was always the ideal man behind the striker - in a system where there would be made use of an attacking midfielder, Bergkamp would be the ideal Classic #10, playmaker, or shadow striker. So him behind a couple of World Class strikers from France would be even better, than him as part of a couple with Thierry Henry.

I see your point, but this Arsenal side were also famous for their use of wingers like Ljungberg and Pires. Having Bergkamp in a #10 role behind two #9's would restrict the use of wingers to a certain point. I'm quite curious where all this is going...

Wow wow, hold your horses! Still a long way to go before we make any decisions. I like Anelka but I definitely wouldn't pick him before Bergkamp or Henry -- and I prefer 4-4-2, at least with the players we have right now. I have a lot of players in my mind so stay tuned
