Bergkamp playing with #16?
Apparently he did... For Ajax in 1987/88
(according to transfermarkt squad number history).

Meaning he was a sub: at that time no fixed numbers: not domestically, nor in Europe

That's John Hartson, actually.

Wimbledon with Vinnie Jones: The Butcher!
Jones was the definition of the rough and tough about English football in the 20th century. Didn't have a bad movie career after that...
The team moved to become MK Dons. The modern AFC Wimbledon is there because of the fans, but it is not related to this story's Wimbledon from the 20th century.

Vinnie Jones, a proper legend. I'll never forget his visit at one of these talk shows in the US. The host, I think it was Conan O'Brien, showed a picture of him holding Paul Gascoigne by the balls. Asking him about the picture, Gascoigne was reference to as "that guy" by the ignorant host, who really didn't know, what he was talking about.

I don't know where this story will take me, but I will tell you one thing -- there will be no MK Dons here.

He's our leading scorer, but I'm more worried about Bergkamp, I hope he rediscovers his form soon.
