Olympique Lyon - UEFA Europa League Preview

Lyon enter the Europa League looking for their first ever win in the competition

Lyon’s Europa League campaign is a demanding stretch of travel, styles, and high-level opposition that will test consistency across the group.

The run starts away to KRC Genk in Belgium, then returns home to face BK Häcken from Sweden, a match that should help set early momentum. October brings a difficult trip to Greece against PAOK FC in Thessaloniki, where intensity and atmosphere will be a major factor.

Ethan Mbappe Set to Miss Three Months with Broken Toe

Ethan Mbappe suffered a broken toe in the last Europa league tie and will be out for 3 months.

Lyon’s Europa League campaign has been dealt an early setback after Ethan Mbappé suffered a broken toe in the win over BK Häcken.

The young midfielder was forced off during the second half after an awkward challenge, with initial optimism quickly replaced by concern inside the squad. Medical staff have now confirmed the injury will sideline him for approximately three months, ruling him out of the crucial middle stretch of the group stage and targeting a return in January 2028.
