It'll be a really well earned promotion if you get it. And that will really stand to you next season one way or another
Thanks, that's also my preferred way of going up. Second best attack and joint best defence right now. It's not just about getting the promotion. It's also about delivering consitent performances as a proof that the team is ready for a bigger challenge. I think I'm getting there. Soon we'll learn how the second half of the season plays out.

The good and the bad. The team and defense continue to do well but our narrator is slipping a bit. Maybe the hot start with scoring was a little glimpse of what he can produce but he is not there yet.

Second most goals in the league but nobody in the top five? That is a well balanced attack.

Slipping a bit, yes. But most of his goals were also in the early rounds of the Carabao Cup. As those games slipped up, only league games remained, and he hasn't been as profilic there as he was against lesser opponents in the cup. Goals are spread out nicely, yes. Contrary to last season with El Bilal Touré being a one-man-army, this time goals are scored by the TEAM rather than just one in-form player.

Ipswich and West Ham will not go away. The player took his club selling the top gk in the middle of a season like this much better than I would have expected.

You may be right. There isn't too much drama queen over that response. One could also suggest that the sale provides a good precedent for himself, perhaps also being allowed to leave to a bigger club at some point. Meanwhile the current league position also suggests a promotion regardless of whom they have in goal.
