A lot of top talent around the world filtered into the NWSL by this point of the choice. Carla Camacho plays for Brighton & Vicky Lopez plays for Barca irl so there's no shortage of talent in this league since they're both top 5 in scoring in the NWSL :blessed:

I'm going to look towards adding more American players on our roster next season. Elyse Bennett was a good American signing for us. She's our backup striker. All of the best USA players play in other leagues while some of the best internationals play in our league

Connesson celebrates breaking the tie with a back flip at the 63rd minute of today's match.

LOUISVILLE — Close call in today's first round matchup of the NWSL Playoffs as top-seeded Racing Louisville gritted out a tough win over the Orlando Pride.

Adèle Connesson scored a brace to lift Louisville to a 2-1 win over the Orlando Pride, just her third brace of her career with Racing.

Racing Louisville head coach, Filipa Patão, praised her side’s resilience after the final whistle, emphasizing the importance of mentality in knockout football.

“We know this isn't going to be easy,” Patão said. “In the playoffs, moments decide everything, and today we were sharp when it mattered most. Adèle stepped up in a big way, but this was a complete team performance. We stepped up defensively, showed patience in possession, and we were fearless in the key moments.”

Patão also made it clear that while the result is worth celebrating, the focus has already shifted forward.

“This group is hungry but we haven’t achieved anything yet. We respect every opponent, and now it’s about recovery, preparation, and taking another step toward our goal.. Bringing the championship back to Louisville.”

While Connesson provided the headlines, Regina van Eijk quietly held her own between the posts. The Dutch keeper came up with big time saves and commanded her area with authority. Recording 6 saves, she shut down Orlando’s late push and ensured Louisville saw out the win to advance to the next round.

Racing Louisville will return to action in the Semi-Finals against Gotham FC, as the #1 #2 teams in the NWSL battle for an opportunity to play in the NWSL Championship game.
