Quite the change in level, from European aspirations in purple to the anonimity of the Championship in a hidden corner of London.

This is the life of a new manager with only 10 matches under his belt. The job offers were insulting to say the least.Danimal5981 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026, 15:11Quite the change in level, from European aspirations in purple to the anonimity of the Championship in a hidden corner of London.

Welcome to the Championship mate! Charlton sit rock bottom in my save, so they certainly need a bit of changes. Good luck with that.
Charlton Athletic is an interesting club. Famous for the crazy signing of Ballon d'Or winner Allan Simonsen in the 1980's, which didn't really pay off. And of course, they were also Man United's opponents in the debut of the late, great Sir Bobby Charlton many years before.

Well firstly hard luck on getting fired from Fiorentina! Tough tough job there, silly really on FC that you get fired! But Charlton is a good starting point in England. Try to reach a playoff and some other doors might open. Need to pick up some cheap young wonderkids to get you going!

They are near the bottom in mine as well, though they do have some talented players, but low overalls. I did not know about the Sir Bobby connection; that is interesting. Thanks for that.JustinCase wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026, 16:23Welcome to the Championship mate! Charlton sit rock bottom in my save, so they certainly need a bit of changes. Good luck with that.

Typical FC that we all know and love. The loss to Inter elminated me from being able to reach Europe in the league, even though I still could reach it by winning Europe... Oh well, it makes for a fun story. Lesson learned if you are going to keep 'sacking' turned on, make a manager story, not a club story.RMJH4 wrote: ↑05 Mar 2026, 10:44Well firstly hard luck on getting fired from Fiorentina!
