Hazzard Country- Good ol' Boys, This time meaning Harm

Post by Bubba's Cruise » 09 Feb 2026, 09:12

Even with me just now going after 5* I feel like I might win the title every year from here on on out. Since I like a challenge and don't want that I've added the stipulation that one playoff game per year I have to just watch. So with the CPU it could mean me winning 40-3 or getting 67 yards of offense.

This might be in the future, but no one's worried about Oklahoma State. Congrats on getting to the natty.

Season Ends After Upset Loss

Hazzard's quest to win back-to-back has came to an end after an upset loss to Oklahoma State 26 to 9. Turnovers were the name of the game again and Cesario didn't make the impression to impress draft scouts with an ugly game with 3 turnovers including 2 interceptions. HB Tejada was about the only bright spot with 98 yards rushing. Oklahoma state got off to an early lead with a pair of 1st quarter TD's and after that added 4 FG's and the Hazzard offense never got going. The lone TD coming in the 4th quarter after the game was over. A tough task to not to go back-to-back since everyone had us facing Miami for the title game with Oklahoma State only rated 87 overall. In the end you can't win in the playoffs going -3 in turnovers. After a big year the passing game and QB play went downhill this year with about as many interceptions as TDs

Now all of the attention turns to the offseason headlined by the first offseason from 5* TE Alexander Prosinski. Then what happens with the QB room with the 5* coming in ? Also, for the first time ever Hazzard will need to find some HBs in the portal.

Note - I thought I could pull up the box score after advancing to the players leaving screen... oops. So I got a little ahead of myself also since I just watched this game no video highlights

This is just the list for players graduating or heading to the draft early for 2034. As of this time we don't know where players got drafted at yet. Overall we had 18 seniors with just 2 people going to the draft early.

Major Loss

FS Juan Alvarado (94)
One of the first 4* we signed and came in with elite dev and turns out we shouldn't have redshirted him. He leaves after just 2 years of playing and he even entered the portal after that redshirt year. A 94 grade should be a 1st round lock with platinum robber and gold house call with 99 zone, 93 play rec and 96 speed. He totaled 151 tackles, 3 INT and 13 PBU. If you are being picky not as many interceptions as you would have licked.

HB Ramon Tejada (92)
We have some debate on if he makes the Hazzard Hall of fame and its still up in the air. He did win our only Doak Walker award and go on to be a high draft pick. However he didn't have the senior year we hoped for even if it wasn't his fault. He ends with 3,240 yards, 9.7 per, 37 TD with 107 broken tackles. He also had 81 catches, 769 yards on 8 TD. The contact seeker could do it all 98 speed, 99 accel, 99 agility, 99 break tackle, 99 change of direction, 86 trucking on platinum downhill. We think the former 3* makes the hall of fame, but didn't break any records so maybe we should have feed him the ball more. One thing holding him back was the power couldn't get high enough to get the workhorse ability. He was only a 2 year starter as well amd saw his TD go from 25 to 8, however his broken tackles went from 37 to 62.

OT Cesar Omaro (90)
We get him for Iowa and he started for 3 years giving up just 4 sacks at both tackle spots. All kind of abilities gold workhorse, inside shield with silver 2nd level and the best platinum strong grip. He had 99 strength, 93 run block and 98 run power all on just impact dev. Another top 25 player of all time for us.

DE Jimmy Chryplewicz (89)
A 3-year rush DE for us and it finally clicked this past year where he got 12 of his career 18.5 sacks. He also had 59 tackles and 33 TFL and at 89 overall we think gets drafted late. A speed rusher with 91 finesse move,90 speed and 89 accel, gold takedown. He was maxed out with 71 block shed and just bronze quick jump. He makes the top DE list for us

CB Jermaine Burns (89)
Another 3* with just impact dev that we think will get drafted. He was 6'2 with 97 speed, 96 play rec and 99 change of direction/ accel. You don't see many CB's that height and speed from the 3* ranks. He was held back by lack of abilities some. He was our #1 CB this past year on one of the counties best pass defenses. He had 137 tackles and 17 PBU. He was a 2 year starter

HB / FB Ben Manzo (88)
The former 3* came in with star dev and he was a hoss a 3 year starter at flexbone FB. A odd player as the power guy was capped with power, but did have 93 speed, 99 accel, 99 agility, 99 break tackle with platinum downhill. He didn't ge the stats as the previous flexbone FBs have as we went away from the triple option the last 2 years. He had 2,609 rush yards, 6.2 avg, 21 TD with 128 broke tackles. He also added 50 catches, 520 yards most of them on FB screens. He earns a spot on the top FB of all time and top 25 players, but not enough to get in the hall of fame,

OG Robert Hatch (88)
A 2.5 year starter really and gave up just 2 sacks in his career. The 334 pounder was our type of guy platinum strong grip with his 98 strength then 90 run blocking and platinum inside shield. With a 88 overall we hope he gets draft if not then it could 2nd guess some of the training that was done this past year. He will make our best 5 OG list. A heck of a career for a 3* with impact dev

Mild Loss

HB George Onwualu (92)
He leaves after his junior year and should be a day 2 draft pick. A N/S Receiver with skills like 88 catching,91 trucking, platinum safety valve and platinum headfirst played a few different roles for us. He leaves us with 1,296 rushing yards, 10 TD, 6.2 avg plus 300 receiving yards. He would have saw an expanded role next year, but with a high draft grade moves on

K Taylor Cavka (90)
He didn't have the best of years just 75% on FG's. He is the most talented Kicker we have and could be our first ever Kicker drafted. Was just here for 1 year.

OT Lionel Cox (86)
A 1 year player coming over from Arkansas had 91 run block, 93 strength, with 4 abilities. He played 677 snaps with 71 pancakes and 5 sacks allowed.

TE Noah Willingham (86)
Came from Western Michigan and was a versatile TE for 2 years. He didn't put up much stats just 25 catches for 289 yards and 2 TD. He had 88 catch in traffic, 81 run block with silver sure hands and bronze outside shield

HB Quentin Gay (85)
He waited his turn and didn't see much playing time until his senior year. He finishes with 736 yards, 4.4 avg and 5 TD. He was a power guy with 99 trucking, 97 break tackle, 86 strength. He also had silver downhill, workhorse and was just as a power i type of roll.

OG Chad Bess (85)
He started this year and played a lot last year so another that guy hung around and did well as a former 3*. He was as strong as they come 99 with platinum strong grip then gold ground N Pound and 90 run block.

S Emmanuel Iwuchukwu (84)
A former 3* had 138 tackles for his career with 12 TFL and 6 interceptions as the #2 SS. He makes this list for his game sealing interception in the title game that will live on forever. He had 94 zone, 89 speed with platinum robber so a bit of a specialist.

Little / No Impact

TE Damarious Bynum (85)

LB Kaleb Burt (84)

OT Dion Stephen (83)

OG Raymon Parker (81)

TE Nate Umana (78)

TE Uzoma Adeyemi (78)

I thought they could handle a team about 10 overalls worse, but wasn't our night. I missed out a lot of coach XP with the back to back one. On to next year now which I think will be more fun from my end

Surprising & Major QB News

We didn't know what to expect from the QB spot this offseason with a QB controversy for the 2nd part of the year. Then the first ever 5* QB coming in who wants playing time. We had 4 QBs on the roster and thought we would go into the portal with 2 maybe 3. We only lose one, but It's not the QB's we projected. The starter the last 2 years Rafeal Cesario (88 ovr) we thought could go pro has come back to school. Junior Office the fastest QB (94) in the country we projected to come back since his dealbreaker was meet. He leaves us over playing time despite getting in the game a decent amount. The 3rd string QB Vernon Sledge now a redshirt junior we thought was a lock to leave us and he has come back to school.

Losing Junior Office (77 ovr) hurts as we had plans to move him to HB where we need a few more speed guy. He was here 4 years and never started full time, so we understand it. This does put us for the first time ever with a major need at HB going into the portal and we need to sign 3. We have some power guys but will need some speed types as we just have 1. Sledge returning is unexcepted as we figured he was a one in done here since we didn't play him any. It's rare we get our 3rd string QB back in today's world and Vernon gives us a solid 3rd string guy. He will enter the offseason training with a 76 overall grade with impact dev at 6'5. He has 94 arm, 83 speed, 91 accel with no abilities. If he focuses on the accuracy that would make him a starting caliber QB.

We don't plan to go after a 4th QB in the portal as last year we redshirted Maurice Nnadi a 6'2 gadget WR with star dev. The former 3* has 88 speed, 86 accel, 89 arm power with terrible accuracy. We would also go on to sign 4* Jamie Lockridge who came in with just normal dev. In the end Jamie will be worse than the above 3*. Jamie has 90 speed, 93 accel and 91 arm power. So, he could move to QB although that's not likely to happen right away. Both of these would give us a pure runner type which for the first time in recent years we don't have one on the roster.

Getting Cesario back is a huge and we hope he can bounce after a rough year. His first year starting he had 31 total TDs and just 8 interceptions until being close to even this past year. Cesario goes into the offseason with a base accuracy grade of 91 that can go way up then has gold on time and platinum step up. His arm strength at 91 is ok and at 85 speed is mobile enough. He has star dev so will get a lot better this offseason, The question is will he be able to beat out the dynamic and 100% guaranteed future star the dual threat true freshman James Leamon with 90 speed, but not good accuracy.

Other Portal Losses

None of these guys are QB Office will be coming back to Hazzard

HB Anthony Spoon - 92 OVR
A player that was maxed out athletically just 91 speed. We focused on his IQ this offseason and the overall grade shoot up to 92. We figured this would make him a high draft pick and help out our current HB room. Instead, he leaves us for the portal and we will be a top 10 player in the portal class. It will be interesting to see if he lands and plays.

WR Mitch Dalton - 71 OVR
The former 4 was our #3 WR last year as a true freshman. The problem was we only have one formation that has 3 WRs in it. The impact 6'4 contested specialist leaves and since we return both starters will be ok without him

DE John Nwokorie - 75 ovr
The former 4* wanted playing time and we couldn't offer that we so redshirted him and knew for a while he was gone. He has star dev so you never want to lose those guys, but that's part of it.

________________________________________________________

5 Best Returning Players (upperclassmen)

* Of the possible early draft entries, ratings before training results

DE Grant Redmond - 91 ovr
This one had us dancing in the streets and we never thought he would come back with a 91 grade and with elite dev a 1st round lock next year. He has 84 speed, 98 strength ,94 tackle with platinum grip breaker and take down. We are going to work on his power moves and hope to get that also up to platinum. He has had 12.5 sacks in 3 years and we think this is the year he explodes with double digits

S Alfonso Grymes - 88 ovr
His elite dev recruiting class buddy went pro, but he is back after 187 tackles and 13 PBU in 2 years. He has 91 speed, 94 man, 91 zone with platinum blow up. We will make him as good as possible this year assuming with a 89 overall we will never see that senior year.

WR Jalen Brigance - 87 ovr
Our favorite WR ever is back and will be just a redshirt junior so maybe we can convince him for another one after this. He has 80 catches, 720 yards and 11 TDs in 2 years and we have figured out how to use that 6'6 frame in the redzone. He has platinum 50/50, gold sure hands, silver cutter gold press pro and that's key as he gets a lot of press coverage on man blitzes. Just impact dev and super close to upgrading all 3 of those abilities we think we can get him back for 2 more years. If are ever going to throw the ball it will be with him and our 6'6 stud TE.

CB Dylan Toney - 87 ovr
The 6'2 CB with gold jammer and 94 speed, 94 zone is back after 2 years of starting. His stats were just 34 tackles and 7 PBU as he missed about half of the year with a injury. With a play style grade of passing yards needing to be A- we were more worried about losing him to the portal then the NFL. We think it was the right choice and we can get him drafted now even with 2 years to play.

OT Gideon Cox - 87 ovr
Any time you get a starting OT back that could go pro it's a good day. Gideon has 4 abilities including gold outside and option shield with silver inside shield. He also has 93 strength and 83 run blocking and could be our best OL next year

Never the way you want to end, but I'm fired up even more for next season. I have a feeling Oklahoma state will be on the schedule next year.
