BRONCOS PUNCH THEIR TICKET!!!
GAME RECAP
The rematch of last year's Natty lived up to it's billing as Boise State battled Ohio State down to the final seconds to secure their 3rd straight trip to the Championship.
Ohio State lead (14-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter and would lead (31-28) at the end of the half as Ohio State picks off Barksdale to set up a 52 yd FG by JR Eric Angulo (85 ovr).
The INT was Barksdale's only mistake of the game as he finishes the half 13/18 for 200 yds with 3 TD's. including a pair to Felix Donahue who continues to setup in the playoffs.
Speaking of players stepping up, RB Greg Stock continued to add to his Heisman winning #'s as he rushed for 60 yds and a touchdown give the Broncos a balanced offensive attack.
Ohio State would add to their lead on the opening drive of the 2nd half as JR RB Alphonso Stump (88 Ovr) scores his 2nd touchdown the game.
BSU would struggle in the 3rd Quarter punting 3 times but the Defense would hold strong as the 3rd Quarter comes to a close with Ohio State leading (38-28).
Boise State would close the gap early in the 4th as Barksdale finds Tye Shelley for a 28 yd scoring strike to t cut the lead to (38-35).. After forcing a quick 3 and out, it was Greg Stock taking over.. the Redshirt Sophomore would score his 2nd touchdown of the day to give the Broncos their first lead (42-38) with 5:48 to play in the game. Then it was SR CB Roland Finely coming up with yet another huge play as he picks off Ohio State QB Rashard Prude (92 Ovr) to setup Stock's 3rd rushing touchdown of the day with 3:10 to play as BSU makes it (49-38).
Prude would bounce back from his NT with a nice 9 play 80 yd scoring drive as he breaks free for a 5 yd run to cut the lead to (48-45) with 2:02 to play.
Still armed with all 3 timeouts, Ohio State would kick deep hoping to get a quick 3 and out but the Broncos played the final 2 minutes perfectly picking up a pair of 1st downs as they kneel out the final seconds..

MILLER /BRONCOS FINALLY GET THEIR 3-PEAT!!!
A FUTURE UNKNOWNBoise State and Coach Matt Miller finally repeat at National Champions after falling short in 2030 after back to back titles in 2028/2029, Boise State returned winning titles in 2032, 2033, and now 2034 giving Miller his 5th title in 7 years and it the final year of his contract leaving many to wonder just what does the Coach have left to prove.. With rumors of BSU potentially leaving the Pac-12 and moving to the Big Ten or Big 12 could be that Miller needs to push forward but with a (117-9 record and 8 straight Pac-12 titles and now 5 National Titles, many believe Miller's time in the spotlight could be done.
GAME RECAP
Boise State jumped out to a (7-3) lead in the 1st Quarte as RB Greg Stock takes it 34 yds to the house for his 30th touchdown of the season.. The Heisman winner also went over 2000 yds with the carry, leaving zero doubt that the voters made the right call..
Georgia would take the lead early in the 2nd Quarter as SR QB Enrique Durham (95 Ovr) finds JR WR Duane Bohannon (86 Ovr) on a 44 yd bomb to make it (10-7) but the Bronco's answer back with another Stock touchdown making it (14-10) still with over 6 minutes to play in the half. Durham would leave the game on the following drive but Georgia would rally behind backup QB RS FR George Ansah (85 Ovr) as Ansah throws the finds fellow RS FR Titus Whitehead (82 ovr) on a 31 yd scoring strike to make it (17-14) BSU would tie the game up with a 47 yd FG by Nick Mateo but with 4 minutes still to play in the half with game was just getting started.. Ansah would follow up with his 2nd touchdown this time to RS SO Keon Pears (89 ovr) to make it (24-17) but Boise State answers back as Barksdale goes connects with TE Scott Fowler on a 19 yd score as Fowler goes over 1000 yds on the season with the catch. making it (24-24)
Ansah unfazed comes back out firing as he throws his 3rd TD of the quarter as he finds Pears for his 2nd touchdown of the game as Georgia takes the lead (31-24) into the locker room.
Georgia would open the 2nd half with the ball and put together a nice 9 play 80 yd drive as the RB combo of Dionte Kimble (87 Ovr)- 28 yd run and George Hawkinson (84 ovr)- 4 yd touchdown run extend the Bulldogs lead to (38-24).
BSU down by 2 scores turn to Barksdale as the Redshirt Sophomore finds Felix Donahue down the sideline for a 19 yd score to make it (38-31).. The Broncos Defense then forced a quick 3 and out but Barksdale's pass to the endzone is picked off as Georgia takes over on the 20 yd line. Again the Bronco Defense holds the Bulldogs to a punt though and Barksdale makes the most of his 2nd chance as he finds Donahue over the middle for touchdown #2 as BSU ties the game (38-38) with just over 5 minutes to play in the game.
With Durham still on the sidelines, Georgia sends out Ansah looking to snap their punting streak but instead the Bulldogs turn the ball over on downs as Boise State takes over on the 14 yd with 3:28 to play in the game.. Both teams still armed with all their timeouts. knew this game would likely come down to who had the ball last.
Miler and the Broncos would do their best as they force the Bulldogs to burn all 3 timeouts before Barksdale would find Donahue for the "Hat Trick" (3rd touchdown of the game) as Donahue hauls in a 12 yd score that gives him over 1000 yds on the season. but with 1:12 to play, the question now was did BSU leave to much time on the clock.
With Durham still out, the Bulldogs were forced to stick with their Redshirt Freshman QB who played a amazing 2nd Quarter throwing 3 touchdowns.. Now the question is could he find that Magic again?
The Answer is yes.. Ansah would lead a 6 play 80 yd drive to the endzone ending with a 26 yd touchdown to JR WR Dexter Prince (90 ovr) who would haul in 4 catches on the final drive to make it (46-45) with just 18 seconds on the clock leaving everyone watching to believe this game was going into Overtime
But instead fan's are left with a play that will be talked about for years to come, as former 5* OLB SO Tye Hoopes comes up with the biggest play of his young career blocking the PAT to seal the Broncos victory...
**I have only ever blocked 1 other PAT in this Dynasty, despite coming close a few times..
