excited about himShireNiner wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025, 17:16Different styles of play I’m sure but when I had to use him, I had him stay back and shape a back 3 while in attack with Porro and whatever midfielder was on Davies side going forward.Soapy wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025, 13:18Definitely gonna try to get him an appearance or two but need to be mindful since he's slow as dirtShireNiner wrote: ↑01 Dec 2025, 14:39Barco is going to be a great addition, Udogie is just hurt too often.
Throw Davies back there, throw back to his younger years.![]()

This might be the most realistic chise on this site. Spurs fans can never have good things. Finally spent big money? Here get embarrassed by Brentford.

Cheeky second goal there, class from Tel. You could have won that game by 4 or 5.

Could we see the return of some of the 'forsaken' following injury to Pape Metar Sarr?
Under first-year Tottenham manager Kwamele Owusu, the Spurs have seemingly adopted an unwritten rule of not featuring players that are slated to be sold with midfielders Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma along with strikers Dominic Solanke and Richarlison not appearing in the last two months after agreements have been reached for their sale.
That rule, which Owusu has denied in past press conference, will be tested as midfielder Pape Metar Sarr is set to miss extensive time with a toe injury he suffered against Monaco in the Champions League.
"We'll be without [Sarr] for a while," said Owusu after the team's 2-0 victory over the French side, "Obviously, it's too early to make any specific determinations on a timetable but realistically, and speculatively, we're looking at an extended period where other guys will have to step up and I'm confident they will."
Sarr has appeared in 21 games this season in all competitions, tied with Joao Palhinha and trailing only Lucas Begvall for most appearances under Owusu in the midfield. Since Xavi Simons arrival, he's been Owusu's preferred player in that double pivot, often paired with either Palhinha or Rodrigo Bentancur. The only central midfielder with an appearance this season is Archie Gray, whose primarily been featured as a defensive sub.
A double pivot of Palhinha and Bentancur might become a staple going forward but if Sarr is out for an extended period, which is expected, the Spurs will require additional depth, potentially opening the door for Kulusevski to make his first appearance with Owusu as manager. The once fan favorite was sidelined with a knee injury when Owusu was appointed manager and fell out of favor upon his return with the addition of Simons and Bergvall's breakthrough.
