Close one there but a win is a win :yup:
Did you do anything with sliders for the playoffs?
No.. I think my issue with my sliders are I get good games against opponents who are rated highly but they are to easy against the teams that are sub 75 and I don't know how to improve the CPU teams.. Redsox said something about being able to keep more teams rated higher when you are years into your dynasty but I don't know where that info is.. For me it seems like I have like 20 teams rated in the 90's and half of those are typically 95-99.. Miami is one of those.. They are a 95 Overall, 99 Offense and 91 Defense so I expected a good game. But like in the Pac-12, UCLA is the highest at 92 besides BSU and Arizona State and Oregon are the next highest rated teams at 89 Overall then USC at 87, so a majority of my conference games are against like sub 85 teams
iirc this is the one that Caesar referenced us too. He had the original link, but this is what I found

couple close wins to reach the Natty. GL against Clemson, they're a monster once they get rolling

Tough luck with the injuries but one game left now. I predict a shootout coming.

BRONCOS CLAIM ANOTHER TITLE!!!!!
GAME RECAP
The 20233 Playoffs have offered plenty of excitement and close battles and the National Championship game was no different.

Clemson received the opening kick and moved quickly on the opening drive to take a early (7-0) lead. Boise State looked to answer back as Barksdale finds Mackey Award winner Larry Ika on a 43 yd pass to open up the Broncos first series on offense, but a INT in the endzone kills the Broncos scoring opportunity and would lead to Clemson taking a (14-0) lead as the 1st Quarter comes to a close. BSU would get on the scoreboard early in the 2nd Quarter as Angel Coker scores on a 52 yd screen pass to make it (14-7) but Clemson answers back with another score of their town to take the lead (21-7) midway through the 2nd Quarter.

With 1:43 to play it appeared that BSU was going to settle for a Field Goal and would most likely go into the locker room down (21-10) but instead Clemson is called for rough the kicker on Cedric Eagles giving BSU a 1st and goal and new life but Barksdale would throw INT #2 killing another scoring opportunity and in the process set Clemson up for 1 more score before the half as the Tigers go into the locker room up (28-7) as QB Trae Brake (96 ovr) goes 41 yds leaving just 18 seconds on the clock.

Boise State opened up the 2nd half with a 12 play 80 yd drive capped by a Desean Swaim touchdown to cut the lead to (28-14) Clemson who showed no struggles in the 1st half to score would start to struggle in the 2nd half as they go 0-7 on 3rd downs leading to 5 punts after including 3 in the 4th Quarter as Boise State continues their comeback. Another Desean Swaim score would cut the lead to (28-21) midway through the 4th., then with 2:48 to play Boise State would tie the game (28-28) as Angel Coker scores from 14 yds out for his 2nd touchdown of the game.

The Broncos Defense continued to play inspired football after giving up a big run by Greg Sorah that moved the ball to midfield, the Bronco Defense comes up with 3 straight stops setting up a 3rd and and 8 with the Tigers outside Field Goal range. Brake would take the snap and roll to his left, but the Defense was ready blocking any type of running lane so the SR QB fires a 50 yd bomb to the endzone with Roland Finley 1 on 1 against the Tiger WR. Finely comes up with his 7th INT of the season as Boise State takes over on the 20.

Still armed with 3 timeouts, Barksdale goes to work connecting on 4 straight pass's to move the Broncos into Field Goal range with 58 seconds to play.. Facing a 3rd and 6, Miller could've just ran the ball up the middle and settled for a 40+ yd FG attempt but instead, Barksdale takes the snap and hits Enrique Chance over the middle for the 1st down and more as Chance takes the catch and goes 41 yds untouched as BSU takes the lead with 38 seconds to play.

With a Clemson sideline still in shell shock, Brake takes the field looking to lead his team on one last effort to tie the game and force Overtime despite having just thrown a INT, Brake played like it never happened as he completes 3 of 3 pass's including a 41 yd bomb to Tre Brown that takes the ball down inside the 10 yd line with 8 seconds on the clock. Brake's first attempt into the endzone however is knocked down leaving 3 seconds to the clock. HC Charles Huff then made a call that will haunt him potentially for the rest of his life, as he takes the ball out of his QB's hands and attempts to run his star RB on a sweep toss that the Bronco Defense was ready for as they stop Sorah cold in the backfield for a 2 yd loss.

It didn't start like one but it ended like one. Luckily I have depth at WR and the Secondary so they didn't hurt as bad as it could've. I got great depth at RB too so that's why I have been careful about not over using Coker but with this being the last game it was all out play him until he couldn't play another long.. Luckily I got 2 big plays out of him and enough other 1st down catches to keep some drives alive.

END OF THE YEAR REPORT

BRONCOS LOSE 5 TO EARLY ENTRY
The Price of success (National Championship) once again hits hard for Coach Miller as 5 underclassman who all played key roles in the Broncos repeat run are saying their goodbyes and trading in Saturday for Sunday.

Redshirt Soph's RB DeSean Swaim (2226 yds 33 TD) and Angel Coker (922 yds 13 TD rushing/67 rec 580 yds 4 TD receiving and 1060 yds and 2 TD via returns) are joining SR Brian Myers (641 yds 12 TD)

JR WR Eric Zentner (3 yr starter with 241 rec for 3614 yds and 29 TD) and RS SO WR Taj Carr (97 rec 1395 yds 14 TD this year) are both joining them as is CB Quincy Forest (91 Tackles, 7 INT this season, 172 tackles 11 INT career) is also forgoing his final season.

MULTIPLE PLAYERS HIT PORTAL

For a 2nd year in a row BSU has lost a 5* RB to the portal who was inline for starting job. Last season Drew Waller was considered the favorite to replace Brian Crum at RB1, but left in the Portal leaving BSU to add Swaim and Myers and move Coker from WR to RB., which in turn moved former 5* RS FR Greg Stock (88 Ovr) down the dept chart resulting in just 13 carries and 43 yds in 3 games..Now Stock is taking his services elsewhere despite being the favorite to take over RB1 this season.

Stock isn't the only former 5* Recruit to hit the portal though as QB Ezra Neighbors (77 Ovr) also makes it official ending his career at BSU after just 4 games played.

They are joined by FR DT Gideon Ragnow (64 Ovr).

DRAFT RESULTS

RT J. Daniels (94) 1st Round
RB's D. Swaim (93), B.Myers (93) and A. Coker (95) join WR E. Zentner (93) as 2nd Round picks.
WR T. Carr (92), C M Eagles (92) LT M Bulaga (92) and CB Q. Forest (91) all go in the 3rd Round
RG K. Goodley (90) is selected in the 5th

RECRUITING UPDATE

Boise State finished the In-Season portion of the Recruiting with a class ranked #12 in the country after signing 12 players (5-5*, 5-4* and 2-3*) BSU has just 6 players left on their original Top-25 Big Board meaning they will have plenty of opportunities to hit the transfer portal and look for key replacements..

Yeah I felt like it was a really weird play call especially after completing the 41 yd bomb to even give them a chance. I watched that video you posted and made some changes to the portal sliders and other slider adjustments for next year game play wise so we will see if it helps.. After back to back titles and 4 titles in 8 years on the job I went ahead and bumped up my portal to 45% which I am pretty sure played a factor in Stock and Neighbors. Exum (my backup QB and another young CB) also declared but I convinced them both to stay as they had a high grade

congrats on another title, Boise turning into a power house.

Honestly, I don't hate the sweep call. If it worked, everyone is saying it was a genius play and it would be unexpected. You were just prepared and ready.

SIGNING DAY
For a 2nd year in a row the Broncos will have to replace the bulk of their running back room production of 3779 yds and 58 TD’s.

Despite missing 4 games this season, QB Tobias Barksdale still managed to throw for 4447 yds with 41 TD and 12 INT, but Barksdale will be without 4 of his Top 5 targets as BSU will look to replace 301 catches 3954 yds and 34 Touchdowns.

Just replacing those Offensive #’s is a big enough challenge for most staffs but add on the fact you all must replace 90% of your O-Line which include 5 players who accounted for a total of 6498 snaps as well as 3 key members of the Defense (Q. Forest-91 Tackles 7 INT), DE A. Ohalete (59 Tackles 18 TFL, 9.5 sacks) and OLB Akeem Nailer (3 year starter with over 162 tackles)

But once again HC Matt Miller and the Bronco Staff worked their magic.

Miller came out swinging in Week 1 signing 3 players

4* Mike LB Junior Streeter (#60 Overall/#5 GA/#3 LB) winning a head on head battle with Clemson.

4* 6’4 WR Dillion McCallum (#115 Overall/#14 WR) who was the New Mexico Gatorade POY.

3* FB/TE Jiaylen Abbott (#784 Overall) from Coeur D’ Alene Idaho. Who was this year’s Idaho Gatorade POY.

With just 2 high school players left on his Big Board Miller attacked the portal with frenzy adding 17 players to his target list and setting up multiple visits in Week 2 including 9 O-lineman and 4 WR’s and 1 player the Broncos were very familiar with.

Miller went 2/2 on his last high school signings adding his 6th 5* Recruit of the season in DE Enrique Shaw (#17 Overall//#6 DE) the Gatorade POY from Roebuck SC. He also add 4* WR/RB Coco Jean (#130 Overall/#14 CA/#18 WR) but Miller and the Broncos struck out landing just 5 players from the Transfer Portal

Despite singing just 5 players the Broncos did come away come away with their top target as RB Greg Stock decides last minute to return to Boise

Miller
“Greg and I had a long talk and he then addressed the team.. He felt disappointed with how things played out last year, but at the end of the day, I think he knew that his future was here on the Blue.. He knows he has some work to do in repairing some trust with some of his teammates. I told him to forget about his past 5* rating and focus on 1 thing: the RB1 job is open and it’s his job to earn it.”
Stock will have some competition as BSU also adds 3* RB Devon Lockett from UMass. A Redshirt Sophomore listed at 5’9 184 lbs , Lockett is originally from Los Angeles CA.

BSU also added 4* RG Malilau Dora a Redshirt Junior who played at Tennessee last year as well as a pair of former UCLA Bruins in 4* LB Darrius Michel the #1 rated LB in the portal and 3* RT Jabari Adkins.

In the end BSU ends up with the #2 Class signing 21 players (6-5*,10-4*, 5-3*) finishing with 252.90 PTS.

Georgia comes away with the #1 Class. The Bulldogs signed 34 players (4-5*, 30-4*) amassing 258.90 PTS.
