The Rangers had the best pitching staff (other than Atlanta of course) of those teams. I wonder if the show will start to stack your team again since you are there now. Main character syndrome or something.
I jumped in late, but iirc the Braves were on the verge of falling apart two seasons ago and then they went on a crazy spending spree for all of the pitching. But it seemed like they hadn't done a crazy amount to improve the team prior to that

I'm unfamiliar with contracts in The Show, is he deadass being paid that much money or how does that work?
Nah. The contracts max out at 45M a year for 12 years but that's like 550M. Paying this player 550M would be insanely low so we just faking the real value.

how in the fuck is Patrick Sandoval an 87 overall :hmm:

is a 69 in the base game and is already 29 years old irl :dead:

I think Houston would have been the better story since that's where he's from, but fuck the Stros.

So I don't hate Texas.

How much longer you planning on running this? Until Tejas gets a ring?
Don't forget I started this close to when the game dropped. He might've been better on the game back then.

I thought about it but is three hours really that much? He can basically live in Houston and play for the Rangers.

I want to break Ichiro's record for consecutive 200-hit seasons so I need to play 6 more seasons. I've already changed the games recap to be 14 games at a time instead of 7 to speed it up. After a season or two, I'm probably going to go to a full month in each update.

I wouldn't be surprised. When I was testing what offers I could get, the Rangers didn't really sign anyone. After I signed for them, they signed Josh H. Smith and Edwin Diaz.

We were a 100-win team in the seasons before the spending spree. We just couldn't win in the NLDS. I think what happened (based on seeing the Braves' payroll when they tried to re-sign me) is the Braves stacked a shit ton of money from how their contracts are set up in real life and because Cash and Pablo Chacin were under team control, it just skyrocketed then the AI went crazy because no one had as much money as them and they weren't really fighting to keep their best players because they were locked down. This offseason, they had $215M in available budget WITH a $40.5M a year contract on the table for Cash.
