The Golden Era | A Golden State Warriors Dynasty

by marshdaddy
What up folks? I’m marshdaddy. I’ve been kicking it over on Operation Sports for the past six-ish years running The Golden Era, a story about The Golden State Warriors franchise that originates in the 2019-20 season. The dynasty started on the PS4 in 2K20, but has since been ported to the PS5 on 2K23 and now 2K25 and is about to enter the 2035-35 NBA season.

A big shout out to RMJH4, who recently hit me up on OS to tell me about DynastySports and the community y’all got over here. Needless to say it took zero convincing to get me here.

I’m excited to make the jump over here, and bring The Golden Era (TGE) to a new platform. If you’re interested in catching up on the past 16 years of NBA hoops (I’ll link all these individually below), the thread continues on OS, I’ve got a historical archive on my YouTube channel, and I have the franchise’s reference doc which is the epicenter of all information.

Operation Sports forum: https://forums.operationsports.com/foru ... y-nba-2k20
YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@marshdaddy22
Video archive (for seasons up to the 2032-33 season): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma90vcN ... qMarrChNCp
TGE Reference Doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... h/pubhtml
With that being said, below is a condensed history of every season since 2019.

Where are we today? The Warriors just got done rallying from down 3-1 to defeat the Chicago Bulls to claim their fourth NBA title in five years. We are about to embark on the NBA offseason which features a very talented draft with 4-6 guys that scouts believe to have at least All Star potential and a free agency that has a three-time MVP on the market.

Now, getting you up to speed on every event and player of the past 16 years would be impossible. I get that. So I’m not going to bother trying. However, the last domino of every single offseason for is a top-50 player ranking and team championship tiers, which should hopefully shed some light on who is who (and who you should care about). I also include as many pictures as possible so you can put faces to names, I’ll put the player’s overall in their first mention in an article so you know if you should care about them, and I aim to deliver as much condensed context as I can when mentioning players, teams or events. This means pieces can be a bit long (if you couldn’t tell from this intro), but I hope it helps.

Without further ado, let’s rock and roll.

Sure is. At this point, there are only a handful of modern players of relevance. It's about 95% fictional, but the good folks over at OS and their draft classes over the years have kept it alive.
