I'm not sure if Trujillo can even tee the ball off far enough, might cost y'all a few yards on the return

Temple gets first win of season, Simon shines in starting debut with four touchdowns

-----------------------------------

After a tough first two games, Temple has finally notched their first win of the season in their home opener and the debut of new starting quarterback Evan Simon. The running game has finally awaken today with 177 yards on the ground, which is the more than the first two games combined. Temple was able to gain production from three of its running backs. Joquan Smith ran for a casual 76 yards while Crews and Washington both received 4 carries each for 45 and 44 with a touchdown, respectively.

After performing well against Navy last week, Simon has been given a chance to start. The former Rutgers quarterback completed 78% of his passes on the day, two of which resulted in touchdowns. He also ran the ball into the end zone twice. Coach Anderius Hawkins has verbalized his satisfaction in Simon's play. "Our offense has transformed since Simon stepped on the field for us. I hope this will continue for the rest of the season," Hawkins told the media after the game.

Temple's defense did a good job to rattle Coastal Carolina quarterback Noah Kim to constantly overthrow his receivers, but he was able to connect with redshirt freshman De'Andre Freshman for a 63 yard play after cornerback Jaylen Lewis overran his coverage. That play led to a 2 yard touchdown pass to Cane Berrong two plays later. Coastal Carolina then preceded to recover an onside kick on the next play. Fortunately for Temple, they were able to stop Temple this time on a fourth down which stopped any possible comeback from the Chanticleers.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (1-2)
QB Noah Kim: 20/39, 281 yards, 2 touchdowns
HB Christian Washington: 12 carries, 79 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 reception, 26 yards
WR De'Andre Coleman: 5 receptions, 112 yards
WR Jameson Tucker: 3 reception, 41 yards, 1 touchdown

DE Braylon Ryan: 4 tackles, 1 TFL, 0.5 sacks
DE Clinton Anokwuru: 3 tackles, 3 TFL, 0.5 sacks
DT Emanuel Bonds: 2 tackles, 1 TFL, 0.5 sacks

Temple Owls (1-2)
QB Evan Simon: 25/32, 241 yards, 2 touchdowns, 9 carries, 12 yards, 2 touchdowns
HB Joquez Smith: 16 carries, 76 yards, 4 receptions, 23 yards, 1 touchdown
HB Damarious Crews: 4 carries, 45 yards, 1 touchdown
WR Reese Clark: 7 receptions, 95 yards
WR John Adams: 6 receptions, 71 yards, 1 touchdown
OLB D.J. Woodsbury Sr.: 7 tackles, 1 TFL

Surprisingly was in control of the ball most of the game so Navy never got into the rhythm but special teams had to ruin what should've been a W :drose:

I missed my FGs so badly that I switched to watching them via supersim and my kickers still miss lol. I wish that there's a way to practice FGs with home field advantage and wind.

Glad that i'll have Tra for another year after this one :yep:
