Coach Singleton's Post Game
Q: Another one possession lost that came down to a few plays. How do you keep the guys motivated this early in the season?
A: Like you said, we're two games in and we've lost both games in the fourth quarter so if you need any motivation, you don't need to be part of this team.

Q: The defense played really well in the first half, really the first three quarters before surrendering those two big touchdowns. Walk us through what happened there.
A: We had a pressure called on that first one, just getting outcoached there and they put their guys in positions to win and I didn't. On the second one, we're reeling and just didn't really recover from that first big touchdown so I don't know if the effort and willingness was where it needed to be and they broke off a long touchdown run.

Q: We saw more of a rotation at linebacker this week with Randy Orr playing a bigger role, Landon Gauthier was also out there as well. Is that the plan going forward or was that gameplan specific?
A: We need guys that can make plays on both sides of the line of scrimmage, whether in coverage or rushing the passer. Right now, we're not rushing shit so the more guys that I can play that can do different things, the more I'm going to play them. I don't think we had a single pressure on a play where we weren't blitzing. You can't live like that, cost us the game with the blitz call on that screen pass so right now we're looking for answers and if its not in the guys that are in the room, it's going to be a long season.

Coach Singleton's Notes:
‣ Not much of a running game to fear so will be in sub packages throughout the game and an increased role for Landon Gauthier and Randy Orr, our best coverage linebackers.
- The team is really struggling in zone, will play some more man to man coverages early in the first half to see if they improve.
‣ If we're not getting much pass rush from our first unit, will play the other guys as it can't be any worse
‣ Need to do a better job of controlling my emotions as a play caller and not get frustrated and too aggressive. Settle into the game and roll with the punches.

Hopefully grabbing that first win here. Must just be devastating losing these games like this.
