After Somerset's comeback victory against Southwestern, Jozif & Jade agreed to meet up at a park where they met the day before.
"Oi. Sorry to keep you waiting. Coach wanted to introduce me to some scouts after the game. You know, big man tings. I got here as quick as I could.."
"No worries! You're a big hot shot football player here in Somerset.. & even though you beat my school, it's so nice to get to see you tonight."
"Careful there. I bet I'm more gassed than you!"

"Ah, thank you. Just threw a lil something together. Are you trying to chirps me, Jade?"
"Chirps? Your London slang is so adorable.. So.. Tell me about yourself, Jozif? Do you have Facebook or Instagram?" Jade said as she inched closer to Jozif on the bench.
"You're the one who told me you heard so much about me already.. & nah no social media. Should I make one?"
"You definitely should so I can follow you! & nothing personal.. Just my girlfriends & I were talking about how cute you are.."
Jozif began to get nervous at Jade's advances.
"Well me ma forced me to move to Kentucky with me Dad. It wasn't my decision, but I do enjoy it here. Certainly not Croydon.. I miss me mates Ernie & Donnie."
"Oh I see.. Well I'm glad you ended up in Somerset of all places.. You're 'proper interesting'. Did I say that correctly?"
"Hah, yeah. I see you've been practicin'. Sad I can't stay out here too late. Pops doesn't know I'm out.. But I had to come see you even for just a minute.."
"I just live around the corner, so it's no big deal.. We can plan something another time. Maybe grab a bite to eat or something?"

The two went there separate ways as Jozif hoofed it back home before his Dad would find out that he'd ever snuck out.

"Last night was mad. I always wanted to return a kick for touchdown, & last night I did it twice, yeah."
"I saw that! I'm sorry I didn't make it to your game last night.. We had our senior night so I had to be there to show my support.. Go Warriors.." Jade said with a smile.
"Hah.. Yeah, you should be a Briar Jumper with me!."
"Ew, no! I mean, you're all right.. But never! I like my school!" the two joked.
"Jozif, I wanted to ask you, with all of the attention you've been getting from colleges lately, do you think you'll stay local?"
"What you saying Jade?"
"Like, do you think you'll play football in college in Kentucky? I'm only asking because, I like you, J. But if you plan on attending college across the country, I'm not sure we'll be able to keep this up."
"Still, Jade. I haven't really given it much thought honestly. A couple of schools have offered me a scholarship but I'm just enjoying my time in high school, yeah."
"Well.. If you decide to play in Kentucky.. Say at UK or Western.. or even U of L.. I'll be able to get in-state tuition prices & we can go together!"
"That sounds like the move. I don't think I'll be paying much attention to the noise until senior year.. Still trying to get my film out there to all of the bigger schools.. Who knows what team will offer me a scholarship!"
"Well... Yeah.. & I would be really happy for you.. But-"
"Stop right there, Jade. Let's just enjoy the moment.. Don't start thinking too far ahead. You're acting like I'm some big football star or something. Bound for the NFL, innit."
