Triple H Buys Out WWE, Scraps RAW and Smackdown Live

HARTFORD, CT --- Triple H and a group of investors have purchased a controlling stake in World Wrestling Entertainment, handing full control of the company to the previous Chairman, Vince McMahon's, son-in-law. HHH was already in charge of NXT, the company's developmental brand, but now plans to expand it. Rather than continuing with RAW and Smackdown Live, NXT will become the sole, flagship show of the company and begin traveling worldwide instead of just working out of the performance center. A select group of 36 superstars from the original RAW, Smackdown Live and NXT shows have been chosen to comprise a new unified roster under the NXT banner. That group of stars will be announced over the course of the next few days as WWE settles into this new change in direction.
