Alright folks, we have revamped basically all of the layouts here going back to the season schedule. Please have a look and let me know what you think. Special thanks to Soapy for the assistance and feedback.

I think I will get rid of the tables for Top 25 and the Heisman Watch after this update and just go to purely text.

Kansas Dominates Washington State 52-17 Behind Senior QB Isaiah Marshall’s Four-Touchdown Day
Saturday September 9, 2028
---
Lawrence, Kansas - Isaiah Marshall looked every bit the senior leader Kansas needs in its pursuit of a Big 12 title and more.

Behind a stellar performance from their veteran quarterback, No. 7 Kansas overwhelmed Washington State 52-17 on Saturday afternoon at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, improving to 2-0 on the young season.

Marshall accounted for four total touchdowns—two through the air and two more on the ground—guiding a red-hot Kansas offense that scored 28 points in the first quarter and never looked back.

“We came out with energy and purpose,” Marshall said. “It’s my last year, and I want to make every one of these count.”

Kansas struck early, and surprisingly, it was the defense that ignited the scoring. Greydon Grimes stripped the ball loose on Washington State’s first possession, and safety Nico Brewer scooped it up and returned it 45 yards to the end zone.

From there, Marshall took over. He connected with Morgan Cooke for a 10-yard touchdown, then hit Damien Keo from 18 yards out later in the quarter. Between those throws, running back Glen Jue powered in a 5-yard score to help Kansas put up a 28-spot in the opening 15 minutes.

Washington State’s lone highlights came on two 77-yard touchdown bombs from quarterback Trevor Sermon to Isaiah Cobbs—one in the first and another just before halftime—but it did little to shake Kansas.

Marshall added a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 5-yard scoring scamper in the third, capping a masterful performance by the senior, who looked in total command of the offense.

Running back Harry Stewart III led a deep ground game with 108 rushing yards, while Tyree LaBelle punched in a 1-yard touchdown late in the third to make it 52-14. Tight end Trey’dez Green was a key target in the passing game, catching four passes for 66 yards and creating mismatches all afternoon.

“We’ve got a lot of guys who can hurt you,” head coach Jordan McAlary said. “But Isaiah—he’s our heartbeat. He was locked in.”

The Jayhawk defense was equally dominant. Grimes led the way with 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble, while Terrance Yates and Immanuel Jones both intercepted Sermon. Washington State managed just three points after halftime and struggled to protect the pocket all game long.

Shaq Durham added a 32-yard field goal and was perfect on all seven PATs.

Kansas now turns its attention to a road test next week at Louisiana Tech, but through two weeks, the Jayhawks are showing the polish and explosiveness of a team looking to repeat as national champions.

“I’ve been here long enough to know you can’t take any week for granted,” Marshall said. “But we’ve got something special. And we’re not done.”
