🏈 Texas A&M Football — 2030 Offseason Roster Turnover 🏈
Graduates • NFL Draft Picks • Transfers
Texas A&M enters the 2031 offseason facing one of the biggest roster transitions of the Mike Elko era, with major losses impacting both sides of the football. The Aggies saw veteran leadership, NFL-caliber talent, and valuable depth pieces depart through graduation, the transfer portal, and early NFL Draft declarations following another championship-level season in College Station.

Offensively, Texas A&M loses key trench talent led by future NFL draft picks Kyree Teague and Steve Rosario, who anchored one of the SEC’s best offensive lines at left and right tackle. Veteran tight end Alex Correa also departs after developing into a reliable starter and red-zone target. While several younger depth players entered the portal seeking more playing time or opportunities closer to home, the Aggies still lose notable production totaling 251 rushing yards, 45 receptions, and 597 receiving yards from the roster turnover.

Defensively, the departures are even more significant. The Aggies lose the heart of their elite front seven with Deandre Bramble, Rico Mateo, and Chet Pfeiffer all moving on after dominant careers in maroon and white. Bramble’s departure to the NFL leaves a major void in the middle of the defense, while Mateo’s pass-rushing presence and Pfeiffer’s versatility at SAM linebacker were instrumental in Texas A&M fielding one of the nation’s top defenses. In the secondary, Andre Okanlawon, Deron Gash, and Larry Raiola all depart after helping establish the Aggies as one of the SEC’s most physical defensive back units.

In total, Texas A&M loses an astounding 551 tackles, 120 tackles for loss, 31.5 sacks, and 67 pass breakups from a defense that carried championship expectations throughout the season. Despite the heavy turnover, the Aggies remain one of college football’s premier programs, and the next wave of talent in College Station will now be tasked with continuing the dynasty standard established under Mike Elko.

Texas A&M Aggies — 2031 Recruiting Class Breakdown
“Reloading the Dynasty”
Coming off another College Football Playoff-caliber season, Texas A&M entered the 2031 recruiting cycle with one objective: maintain its place among the elite of college football. Mike Elko and the Aggies accomplished exactly that, assembling the No. 12 overall recruiting class in the nation and the No. 5 class in the SEC, highlighted by elite defensive talent, versatile athletes, and one of the best transfer portal additions in the country.

Headliner of the Class

The centrepiece of the class is 5-star CB Manu Coffee, the No. 1 CB in America and the No. 7 overall player nationally.

At 6’2”, 194 pounds, Coffee brings:
  • Elite length
  • Shutdown coverage ability
  • Physical SEC-ready traits
  • Immediate impact potential
His commitment gives Texas A&M a future cornerstone in the secondary and continues the Aggies’ emergence as a national recruiting force.

Defensive Foundation

Texas A&M continued building one of the SEC’s nastiest defenses with several major additions.

DT Colt Simms
  • 4-Star Recruit
  • No. 47 Nationally
  • No. 2 DT in America
  • 6’1” | 305 lbs
Simms projects as an immediate contributor in the trenches thanks to his explosive first step and SEC-ready strength.

The Aggies also strengthened the secondary with Jermaine McNitt, another highly-rated cornerback prospect who pairs with Manu Coffee to potentially form one of the best future CB duos in the conference.

Offensive Weapons & Athletes

Texas A&M emphasized versatility and speed throughout the class.

Wide Receivers:
  • Xavier Amerson
  • Brian Brooks
  • Greg Greer
Athletes:
  • Gideon Boyko
  • Zach Godfrey
  • Keenan Griggs
These prospects provide flexibility across multiple positions and fit perfectly into the Aggies’ evolving offensive identity.

At quarterback, Texas A&M added two developmental prospects with intriguing upside:
  • Tory Foucha — 6’5”, 214 lbs
  • Femi Fuata — 6’4”, 187 lbs
Both quarterbacks possess ideal modern SEC size and long-term developmental potential.

Building the Trenches

The Aggies also added key offensive line depth for the future:
  • Randy MacChristopher
  • Johnathan DiMarco
  • Nick Brahms
  • John Mekaari
While not filled with flashy 5-stars, the group adds important developmental size and physicality to sustain the Aggies’ SEC identity up front.

Transfer Portal Impact

Although Texas A&M’s portal ranking finished outside the SEC elite, the Aggies secured one of the biggest portal additions in the nation.

OT J.P. Edmondson (Miami)
  • No. 8 Overall Transfer
  • No. 1 OT in the Portal
  • 6’4” | 330 lbs
Edmondson immediately upgrades the offensive line and projects as a future All-SEC caliber player.

Additional portal additions include:
  • OG Shaun Stock (Purdue)
  • LB Tavarres Tuttle (Southern Miss)
  • CB Quin Branham (UConn)
Overall Outlook

Texas A&M’s 2031 class reflects the blueprint of a championship contender:
  • Elite secondary talent
  • Defensive line strength
  • Versatile athletes
  • Offensive line reinforcements
  • High-upside quarterbacks
  • Strategic portal additions
While the class may not carry the overwhelming star power of Georgia or Clemson, it stands as one of the deepest and most balanced recruiting groups in the SEC.

With Manu Coffee anchoring the future secondary and J.P. Edmondson stabilizing the offensive line immediately, the Aggies remain firmly positioned in the national championship conversation entering the next era of SEC football.
