Disaster as N'Golo Kante Goes Out for Three Months with Broken Toe

Kante will be out until January with his injury.

Paris FC’s emphatic 4–0 victory over Montpellier HSC was overshadowed by a serious injury to N'Golo Kanté. The veteran midfielder was forced off during the match and has since been diagnosed with a broken toe, ruling him out for approximately three months.

The setback is a significant blow, both on and off the pitch, given Kanté’s leadership and experience. While the result showcased Paris FC’s strength, the mood around the club has been tempered by concern over losing such an influential figure during a crucial stretch of the season.

The high and the low in such a short span. A historic win against the biggest club in France and then to lose out big name signing in a a blow. Looks like results are not slipping yet, maybe you can get by without Kante.

What a statement win against PSG there. Showing them that you're up to the challenge after losing ground against them towards the end of last season. Awful injury to Kanté though. My initial concerns about him dropping form will only enhance from now on. Three months out will see him drop further in game. Sad to see it.

Yeah the Kante injury is definitely not good, but kind of shows maybe it wasn't such a smart transfer from us. You're totally right Justin that he'll probably drop several ratings by the time I get him back (he's an 81 now but wouldn't be surprised if he's 78 or 79 by then).

Doucet is 23 and pretty good and can cover for him, but it's a downgrade. I also didn't have much transfer budget to add anyone else really before the window closed.

Champions League Preview: Paris FC

Paris FC have a challenging fixture list in their first ever Champions League campaign.

Paris FC are set for a demanding introduction to the Champions League, drawn into a fixture list that blends historic European giants with tricky away trips. Early matches away to Romanian side FC Steaua București and Portugal's SL Benfica will test the squad’s composure, while visits to AFC Ajax and Liverpool FC represent major step-ups in quality and atmosphere.

At home, Paris FC will look to capitalize, but the opposition remains elite. The clash with AEK Athens carries extra intrigue, as Anthony Martial faces his former club. Meanwhile, defender Soumaïla Coulibaly will come up against Borussia Dortmund, who pushed to re-sign him this summer but were ultimately unsuccessful.

With further matches against Inter Milan and Chelsea FC, progression will require consistency, resilience, and belief. For Paris FC, this is the ultimate test of their rise.

Full Champions League Schedule
  • 9/16: @ FCSB
  • 9/29: @ SL Benfica
  • 10/20: @ AFC Ajax
  • 11/3: @ Liverpool FC
  • 11/24: vs. AEK Athens
  • 12/9: vs. Inter Milan
  • 1/20: vs. Chelsea FC
  • 1/27: vs. Borussia Dortmund
