Burton Albion Hire Kalle Karlsson as First Team Manager

Burton Albion have confirmed the appointment of Swedish manager Kalle Karlsson as First Team Manager ahead of the 2024/25 season, ushering in a new era under the Nordic Football Group (NFG) who acquired the club this summer.

Karlsson joins from Västerås SK of the Swedish Allsvenskan, where he earned a reputation as one of Sweden's most promising young coaches. Known for his possession-based philosophy, he is expected to implement his preferred 3-1-4-2 system at the Pirelli Stadium, emphasizing controlled build-up play, attacking wing-backs, and high pressing.
