340 yards passing to New Mexico State, including 143 to tight end Jerry Lydiatt.
I swear every tight end is fucking prime Gronk in this game :dead;

NMS tried to push ya'll but Dirty Sanchez came thru
pretty strong numbers from the TE for sure

held on to it. went for it on fourth down right before halftime and threw a pick, should have kicked, might have helped our momentum in the second half.

HENS TAKE DOWN FLAMES TO MOVE TO 6-0
Late TD for Liberty makes score closer than the game ever seemed

Saturday October 3, 2026 | Delaware Stadium – Newark, Delaware | 3:15 PM

Newark, Delaware - Delaware rolled up nearly 200 yards rushing and averaged 5.4 yards per carry in a win over Liberty to improve to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in CUSA games.

Mason Kelsay was efficient, completing 12 of 19 pass attempts for 168 yards and a pair of second quarter touchdown passes.

Delaware led 17-6 at the half and the lead never really felt in danger after that despite the Hens inability to find the endzone again.

Skyler Sholder connected on three of four field goal attempts in the win.

Darrion Dupree led the way with 110 yards on 20 carries with Luke Brown and Kelsay chipping in 41 and 38 rushing yards respectively.

Thomas Amankwaa was once again the teams' leading receiver, picking up 73 yards on four receptions and finding the endzone for the fourth time this season.

On the defensive side of the ball true freshman defensive end Ted Krumholz proved to be a problem for the Liberty offensive line as he recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss in the game.

“We made it clear to everyone that we intended to lean on the offensive line and our running game.” Delaware offensive coordinator DJ Porter said after the game. “Those guys all came through for us and that helps make every other aspect of the game easier.”

Delaware will travel south to face Jacksonville State next Saturday.

BLUE HEN REPORT
Delaware Recruiting Update
Image

The University of Delaware has officially kicked off its 2026 recruiting class with a big-bodied target out wide. Wide receiver Clyde Allen, a 6-foot-5, 201-pound playmaker from Buffalo, NY, has signed with the Blue Hens, becoming the first official commitment under head coach Tony Sanchez this cycle.

Allen, a three-star prospect, is ranked No. 539 nationally, the 8th-best wide receiver in the class, and No. 83 in the state. Known for his long frame, strong hands, and red zone presence, Allen caught the attention of Delaware’s staff early in the process and quickly emerged as a top target.

Allen turned heads during the spring camp circuit with his ability to high-point the football and make contested catches in traffic. While he still has room to grow as a route-runner, his physical traits and coachability made him a priority for Delaware’s offensive staff.

Sources say Delaware beat out Army and Virginia to secure Allen’s commitment. His decision marks an important early win on the recruiting trail for Sanchez, who is looking to build momentum after taking over the program in the offseason.

“Delaware felt like home,” Allen said in a brief statement. “Coach Sanchez believed in me from the start. I want to be part of what they’re building.”

The Blue Hens are expected to take a full class this cycle and are actively recruiting in-state and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. With Allen now on board, Delaware hopes his commitment will be the spark that gets the rest of the 2026 class rolling.

Coach Porter's Notes
Bully ball is the goal. Keep pounding the rock. Build on these past few weeks.
Pretty solid DL. DT Perry (#97) is active in the middle. We'll need to move him to run the ball successfully.
LB is a spot where we can take advantage. Spurlock (#9) will be the player to watch out for in that group.
DBs are vulnerable. Vincent (#1) is dangerous at safety so we need to be mindful of him.

another strong start for the Hens. Can they finish out the season strong and avoid a slump to end the season?

If the Oline holds up, I'm taking the Hens in the CUSA CCG
