surprised he's playing for you, Manu has been my third big -- if we even use one -- over Bassey and needed to clear up roster spots for Ryan since the other guys were on two-way.
I actually don't get it more for the Clippers, Mann is a coming into his own and locked up to an extension. I almost didn't approve the trade but figured that puzzling trades do happen in real life

got him out the paint #gokamala
I don't know how much burn he'll get over Champagnie/Malaki but need that depth since I've been tuning with the injury sliders so I can get some. kind of crazy im at the trade deadline with not a single injury

Spurs acquire Malik Beasley at the trade deadline to boost three-point shooting
In a bold move at the trade deadline, the San Antonio Spurs have acquired veteran sharpshooter Malik Beasley from the Detroit Pistons, sending Matt Ryan and four second-round picks (two in 2025 and two in 2026) to Detroit in return. The deal addresses a glaring need for the Spurs, who rank among the league’s bottom three teams in three-point shooting percentage. Beasley, averaging seven points per game on an impressive 46% from the field and 44% from beyond the arc, brings much-needed shooting and spacing to San Antonio’s contending but young roster.
Matt Ryan, who had been signed by the Spurs just weeks earlier, appeared in only four games, highlighted by an 11-point performance in a loss to the Grizzlies. Despite his solid perimeter skills, Ryan was ultimately moved in favor of Beasley’s proven track record as a high-percentage shooter and reliable scorer off the bench. For the Pistons, who currently hold the NBA’s third-worst record, Ryan is a likely candidate to be waived as they continue to focus on player development and rebuilding for the future.
Beasley’s addition is expected to provide immediate relief for San Antonio’s three-point shooting struggles. As a career 38% shooter from deep, he offers versatility and efficiency on offense, giving the Spurs a perimeter weapon that can both catch-and-shoot and create off screens. Head coach Gregg Popovich will likely slot Beasley in as a key contributor in the rotation, adding veteran experience and floor spacing to help San Antonio’s young stars operate more freely.
