MONROE, La. — Jaleel Mosley, the co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach at Colorado State, was hired as Louisiana-Monroe's offensive coordinator, the school announced Tuesday.

Mosley, 39, will call plays for the Warhawks under head coach Bryant Vincent. It's the first play calling job of Mosley's career after 17 years as an assistant, including stops on staffs led by Hal Mumme, Mike Leach, Eric Morris and, most recently, Jay Norvell.

"This is an opportunity I've been preparing for my entire career," Mosley said in a statement released by ULM. "I've been fortunate to learn this offense from the people who built it and from the people who've pushed it forward. I'm excited to bring that background to Monroe and put our players in the best position to succeed."

Vincent said Mosley's background made him a natural fit to modernize the Warhawks' attack.

"Jaleel has been in rooms with as many great offensive minds as anybody in the country," Vincent said. "He's coached quarterbacks, he's coached receivers. He knows how to put stress on a defense, and he knows how to develop players. We're excited for what he brings to our staff and our program."

Mosley began his career as a graduate assistant at McMurry in 2009 under Hal Mumme, the architect of the Air Raid offense, before spending six seasons on Mike Leach's staff at Washington State. He returned to his hometown of San Antonio in 2018 to coach quarterbacks at Incarnate Word under Eric Morris, developing quarterback Cam Ward before following Morris back to Washington State in 2022. Mosley spent the past two seasons at Colorado State as co-offensive coordinator, a title he shared with Matt Mumme who held play-calling responsibilities.

Mosley played quarterback at New Mexico State from 2005-08, backing up program record-holder Chase Holbrook under Hal and Matt Mumme.

It's starting :blessed:

I like the starting point. ULM should be an interesting room to get into.
