2031 Recruiting Cycle — Top 10 Recruits
The Future of College Football Has Arrived
The 2031 recruiting cycle delivered one of the most talent-rich classes in recent memory, featuring elite athletes, franchise quarterbacks, lockdown defensive backs, and SEC-heavy dominance across the national landscape.

At the top of the rankings sits Zach Quarterman, the No. 1 overall prospect in America. The 6’6”, 246-pound ATH out of Tacoma, Washington committed to Washington and projects as one of the most versatile prospects in the country. Whether lining up at edge rusher, tight end, or linebacker, Quarterman possesses rare size and athleticism that could immediately reshape the Huskies’ future.

Georgia landed arguably the most important player in the cycle with Robert Aguayo, the nation’s No. 2 overall recruit and top quarterback prospect. The Cartersville native gives the Bulldogs another elite signal-caller capable of continuing Georgia’s championship expectations deep into the next decade.

Clemson made a massive statement by securing two Top 10 prospects, highlighted by Jordan Iwuchukwu, a dominant 6’4”, 303-pound ATH from Baltimore. Ranked No. 3 nationally, Iwuchukwu projects as a future game-changing defensive lineman or offensive tackle with All-American upside.

LSU added one of the nation’s premier defensive backs in Keiwone Chosen, the No. 4 recruit in America. The elite free safety from Texas gives the Tigers another potential superstar in the secondary and continues LSU’s reputation as “DBU.”

Oregon continued its rise on the national recruiting stage with the addition of Jameson Ferris, an explosive linebacker prospect from Florida ranked No. 5 nationally. Ferris brings sideline-to-sideline speed and immediate impact potential to Eugene.

Georgia doubled down defensively with Caleb Irving, another elite WILL linebacker ranked No. 6 overall, giving the Bulldogs arguably the best linebacker haul in the nation.

Texas A&M secured one of the biggest recruiting wins of the cycle with Manu Coffee, the nation’s top-ranked cornerback and No. 7 overall player. Coffee’s blend of length, athleticism, and physical coverage ability makes him one of the most college-ready defenders in the country and a future cornerstone for the Aggies’ defense.

USC landed dynamic ATH Alex D’Imperio, while Clemson added elite offensive tackle Nate Robinson to strengthen its trenches. Alabama rounded out the Top 10 with Trey Buechele, a physical cornerback from Texas who continues the Crimson Tide’s pipeline of elite defensive talent.

Biggest Winners of the 2031 Cycle
  • Georgia — Elite QB + linebacker haul
  • Clemson — Two Top 10 national recruits
  • Texas A&M — Landed the nation’s top CB
  • LSU — Added another future star defensive back
SEC Dominance Continues

The SEC once again controlled the recruiting landscape, landing:
  • Georgia (2 Top 10 recruits)
  • LSU
  • Texas A&M
  • Alabama
That means half of the nation’s Top 10 prospects are headed to the SEC.

The future of college football continues to run through the South.

2031 Transfer Portal — Top 10 Transfers
The Portal Era Continues to Reshape College Football
The 2031 transfer portal cycle became one of the most aggressive roster reshuffles in recent college football history, with national contenders and rising programs battling for immediate-impact talent across the country.

Leading the way is Brenton Gaudet, the No. 1 overall transfer in the nation. The freshman MIKE linebacker shocked the college football world by leaving Notre Dame for Oregon, giving the Ducks an elite defensive centerpiece with multiple years of eligibility remaining. Gaudet’s size, instincts, and downhill physicality instantly elevate Oregon’s front seven and reinforce the Ducks as a legitimate national title contender.

Texas Tech landed arguably the most explosive offensive weapon in the portal with Kevin Hoppes, the former Alabama wide receiver. Ranked No. 2 overall, Hoppes brings SEC-caliber speed and playmaking ability to Lubbock, giving Texas Tech one of the most dangerous offensive additions of the offseason.

Notre Dame suffered another massive defensive loss with MIKE linebacker Jamie Zahursky transferring to Syracuse. The freshman linebacker was one of the most coveted defensive players available and provides the Orange with a foundational defensive leader moving forward.

Indiana emerged as one of the biggest surprise winners of the portal cycle by landing:
  • EDGE Moses Gaffney
  • DT Darren Addai
Both former Notre Dame defenders add major physicality and athleticism to the Hoosiers’ defensive front and could immediately transform Indiana’s pass rush.

Ohio State aggressively attacked the trenches by adding:
  • EDGE Parker Graves (Notre Dame)
  • DT Glen Lacy (Michigan)
The Buckeyes strengthened both the edge and interior defensive line with proven Power Conference talent, continuing their strategy of building elite defensive depth through the portal.

Penn State secured one of the top offensive linemen available with Mustafa Ogoh, the former Michigan guard. Ogoh projects as an immediate starter and fills a critical need for the Nittany Lions up front.

Texas A&M Lands a Massive Addition

One of the most important portal commitments of the cycle belongs to Texas A&M, which secured former Miami offensive tackle J.P. Edmondson.
  • No. 8 Overall Transfer
  • No. 1 Offensive Tackle in the Portal
  • 6’4” | 330 lbs
Edmondson gives the Aggies an immediate impact starter with All-SEC potential and fills one of the program’s most critical roster needs entering the 2031 season.

With Texas A&M continuing to build championship-level depth, Edmondson could become one of the most valuable portal additions in the SEC this year.

Oklahoma rounded out the Top 10 by landing former Tennessee guard Barry Fogg, adding experienced interior depth as the Sooners continue adjusting to the week-to-week physicality of SEC football.

Biggest Winners of the Portal Cycle
  • Oregon — Landed the No. 1 overall transfer
  • Ohio State — Reloaded the defensive front
  • Indiana — Added two major defensive pieces
  • Texas A&M — Secured the top OT in the portal
The Transfer Portal Has Become Free Agency

The modern era of college football continues evolving rapidly, and the transfer portal is now one of the biggest factors in building championship rosters.

Programs no longer rely solely on recruiting high school talent — instant-impact veterans and young stars are reshaping the national power structure every offseason.

The race for 2031 has officially begun.

a lot closer than you would have liked against the Hokies, but a dub is a dub

hopefully Aguayo busts for the Bulldogs, or you could be in for a rough time in a year or so
