Real Madrid Buy Leny Yoro for €127M After Militao's Release Clause is Triggered


Yoro was previously a Madrid target in 2024 after losing out to United, he rejoins Bompastor after winning Ligue 1 together at Lyon.

Real Madrid have moved quickly to replace Éder Militão after the defender’s €160 million release clause was unexpectedly triggered by RB Leipzig.

Madrid have agreed a €127 million deal for Leny Yoro from Olympique Lyonnais, reuniting the young centre-back with manager Sonia Bompastor after the pair won Ligue 1 together last season.

Club officials believe Yoro’s composure in possession, recovery pace and familiarity with Bompastor’s system make him the ideal long-term successor in the heart of Madrid’s defence alongside Joško Gvardiol.

Real Madrid Buy Nuno Mendes for €96M After Fran Garcia's Release Clause is Triggered


Mendes becomes the latest in a long line of Portuguese stars to play for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Nuno Mendes from Arsenal FC in a €96 million deal, moving quickly after the shock departure of Fran García, whose release clause was activated by SSC Napoli for €73 million.

Manager Sonia Bompastor identified Mendes as the ideal replacement due to his elite ball progression, defensive reliability and suitability for a possession-dominant system.
