Interesting to see how well he'll do IRL... Can't be easy trying to make your own name in football, constantly being compared to an older brother doing that well.

I think of Brian Laudrup for comparison. Michael played at Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid, the very top of European clubs. Brian joined Bayern, Fiorentina and Milan and never really settled completely, until he finally found his best football at Rangers. I imagine that the shadow could be hard to live in. In that light I suppose it was rather ironic that Brian was the one to win the Euros with the national team.

Yeah it's going to be really crucial for Ethan to build up a name for himself outside of what his brother's done. Being able to do it at a bit of a lower profile club like Paris FC (for now at least, we have the financial backing to be big long-term) I think is a great launching pad for him.

Paris FC: End of March Update


Paris FC are likely out of the title race, but have a chance to knock out rivals PSG in their upcoming Coupe de France Semi-Final.

Paris FC reach April firmly entrenched in the Ligue 1 title race, sitting second with 63 points from 27 matches. However, league leaders Paris Saint-Germain remain difficult to catch, holding an eight-point advantage at the summit.

Paris FC’s campaign has been driven by a relentless attack, scoring 86 goals, the highest total in the division. Anthony Martial continues to lead the Golden Boot race with 26 goals, while Noah Adedeji-Sternberg has emerged as a lethal secondary scorer with 16. Creativity has flowed through midfield as well, with Ethan Mbappé topping the assist charts with 14, matching Martial’s playmaking output.

Despite PSG’s commanding position in the league, Paris FC will have a chance to strike a major blow in knockout competition. On April 1, the two Paris rivals meet in the Coupe de France semifinal, with a place in the final on the line.

For Paris FC, the derby offers both silverware hopes and a chance to prove they can challenge the capital’s established power.
