Racing Louisville Makes Moves During The Transfer Window By Adding Veteran's Kamczyk & Bennett

LOUISVILLE — Racing Louisville FC are ready to continue their push for another NWSL championship after a successful transfer window during the league-wide pause.

Patão's first signing was 35-year old free agent Ewilina Kamczyk. While Kamczyk is entering the later stages of her career, now the oldest player on Racing's roster, the Polish international is widely respected for her vision, work rate, and composure in big matches. Patão believes that her veteran leadership will be a valuable addition for Louisville down the stretch, adding more depth to an already strong midfield.



Racing Louisville continued their hunt for experience & reached an agreement with RC Deportivo for the American striker, Elyse Bennett.



Bennett, drafted 7th overall in the NWSL draft in 2022, returns to the NWSL after 6 seasons in Liga F. Patão agreed to swap 20-year winger, Paige Williams, in exchange for the 31-year old striker.

"Ewelina brings experience, intelligence, and calm in the midfield. She understands the game at a very high level, and those qualities are very valuable for our group right now. Elyse gives us energy in attack and another player who can stretch defenses. We believe both players fit what we are building here and can help us continue pushing forward this season & towards another championship run." Filipa Patão told DS.net about the new acquisitions.
