Paris FC Sign Chelsea's Mathis Amougou for €6M

Paris FC have completed the signing of 19-year-old defensive midfielder Mathis Amougou from Chelsea FC for €6 million, adding another highly regarded young talent to their midfield project.

Amougou arrives after limited first-team opportunities in London but was previously considered one of the most promising prospects to emerge from AS Saint-Étienne’s academy. Known for his excellent ball progression, composure in possession, and strong physical profile, he fits the technical demands of Sonia Bompastor’s system.

To make room in the midfield rotation, Paris FC have also agreed to send 16-year-old academy midfielder Camille Pages on loan to FC Basel for the remainder of the season. With Lohann Doucet returning from injury, Pages’ immediate minutes would likely have been limited.

However, Bompastor is still seeking greater on-ball control from the holding role, and Amougou is viewed as a potential long-term solution at the number six.
