My thoughts going into the draft was to trade back and secure a 1st for next year. Highsmith is a FA next year, but I signed Thibodeaux to a 3 year deal so in a perfect world he can replace him. Offensive line is still young and under contract. Outside of a DT to back up Harmon, or another CB to learn for a year, WR was the next logical spot. With AR getting a new deal next year, money going to be tight, so having a potential All-Pro WR on a rookie scale contract helps the roster more than a backup DT imo :shrug:

They were actually trying to trade up for Arch as well, but didn't want to part with a 1st next year so Carolina got the pick and the QB. Be interesting to see what happens with Young now
