The fact you're in late November-early December with no injuries is pretty damn impressive.

Ramsey missed 6 or so games with a broken collarbone to start the season. Aside from that its been nagging injuries. Watt and Harmon missed a half, Cayden Green (G) and Kelvin Banks Jr (T) have both been in and out with bruised shoulders and such. Same with Kyler Kasper and Kavonte Turpin. But overall, not too bad. Last year Seumalo and Brown (LG and LT) went down prior to the playoffs, had AR running for his life

Detroit Hangs Around, But Can't Finish the Job At Ford Field


Every time the Detroit Lions pulled within striking distance, Richardson quickly widened the gap in a nearly perfect outing with 345 total yards and four touchdowns.

Detroit, MI. - When Troy Fautanu went down during pregame warmups, many wondered how the loss of the starting left tackle would disrupt the Steelers' top-ranked offense.

Pittsburgh generated only one first down over its first two drives as Richardson absorbed a pair of sacks and Quinshon Judkins struggled to find running room. But when Jared Goff threw an interception to reserve safety Isaiah Simmons near the end of the first quarter, the Steelers finally roared to life.

Zachariah Branch, who has taken a slight backseat to rookie sensation Ryan Williams this season, blazed past his defender to haul in a 45-yard touchdown one play after Goff's pick, and the Steelers were rolling.

To their credit, Goff and the Lions matched Pittsburgh score for score before halftime. But when Anthony Richardson marched the Steelers down the field in just over a minute, slashing into the end zone with zeros on the clock to end the first half with a 21-14 Pittsburgh lead, it felt like the momentum at Ford Field had been sucked out.

The second half opened with Kayvon Thibodeaux burying Goff for the first of two sacks in relief of the injured Alex Highsmith, and the Lions looked like they'd run out of juice.

Detroit did claw back with another Sam LaPorta touchdown early in the fourth quarter, but Richardson answered right back with a gutsy throw. With a pair of Lions bearing down on him, he hung in the pocket long enough to deliver a 57-yard strike to DK Metcalf that put the game out of reach.

After a failed fourth-down conversion attempt by the Lions, the Steelers ran the clock down on their final drive. But facing fourth-and-3 with under 45 seconds left, the Steelers opted to punt the ball instead of kicking a 48-yard field goal.
The punt pinned the Lions at the 2-yard line and, in a final gut punch, Thibodeaux sacked Goff for a safety.

Anthony Richardson continued another sparkling campaign with a 22-of-26 passing performance to go with 288 passing yards, 57 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns.
