Titans surprise many with selection of Pittsburgh linebacker Rasheem Biles
The Tennessee Titans have selected linebacker Rasheem Biles out of the University of Pittsburgh with the 108th overall selection of the 2027 NFL Draft and their second pick of the draft.
The selection came as a bit of a surprise as many had a borderline Day 3/Priority UDFA grade on Biles and there were more notable names available on the board in Alabama receiver Isaiah Horton, who was teammates with Titans quarterback Cam Ward at Miami, Texas A&M defensive tackle D.J. Hicks and safety Dalton Brooks.
Biles, who is a bit of a tweener at six-foot-one and 226 pounds, was extremely productive at Pittsburgh where he earned All-ACC honors the last two seasons. A former 180-pounder coming out of high school, it's always been a question of whether he is more safety than linebacker and after running a a 4.58 forty at the NFL Combine, there were a lot of questions on whether or not he'll be anything more than a special teams ace but for the Titans, after trusting their evaluation and getting it right on Jermaine Matthews Jr. last year in the draft, they're trusting their instincts and eval once more on Biles.
Prior to the Titans pick, the Falcons drafted Lance Heard earlier in the round at 102 with some projecting the Titans to take a flyer on the former Ohio State left tackle. NC State receiver Noah Rogers went off the board one pick later to Tampa, ending a notorious draft slide that saw him go from the first round to the fourth. Jaxson Howard went after to the Giants, a player that the Titans visited with.

Texas Tech's Brice Pollock heads to Tennessee with fourth-round selection
The Tennessee Titans select Texas Tech cornerback Brice Pollock with the 122nd overall selection of the 2027 NFL Draft.
It's another surprising pick for the Titans as they have plenty of corners on the roster, returning all three starters from last year and then added Marcus Jones via trade and Joshua Williams in free agency. They pass up on some other corners that were ranked higher than Pollock in Florida's Dijon Johnson and Cormani McClain as well as Georgia's Daniel Harris, the top ranked corner on the board.
Pollock is an intriguing prospect at six-foot and 195 pounds with plenty of production at Mississippi State and Texas Tech. He was a potential entry in last year's draft before returning where the tape wasn't always consistent as he struggled to find the ball in the air.
A notable player that went off the board was Alabama's Isaiah Horton who slid out of the third round and into the fourth where the Titans became a factor again. Horton played with Titans quarterback Cam Ward at Miami and was a solid complimentary receiver to Ryan Williams for the past two seasons at Alabama.

Titans take another flyer in West Virginia offensive tackle Malik Agbo
With the 126th overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans wrapped up a busy fourth round with the selection of West Virginia offensive tackle Malik Agbo.
Agbo is the third player selected in the fourth round by the the Titans and is the second offensive player to be drafted by Tennessee, joining center Zach Rice. Agbo has a similar background as a former prized recruit that signed with Texas and was there for three seasons before transferring to Morgantown.
The issue with Agbo has always been his size and whether he can keep the weight on, weighing in at the Combine at 280 pounds. The athleticism and technique is there for him, it's just a question of his effectiveness in the run game as a sub-300 pounder and something that will ultimately decide whether or not he'll be able to make it in the league as a left tackle.

Tennessee drafts massive nose tackle Jamaal Jarrett in the fifth round
You can't teach size and they don't get much bigger than USC nose tackle Jamaal Jarrett who the Titans drafted with the tenth pick in the fifth round.
Jarrett, who weighed in at 360 pounds, was brought in as a potential replacement for Jordan Davis at Georgia before transferring out and ending up at USC. He is your classic run stuffing nose tackle that is deceptively quick in short spaces.
The question around Jarrett will be his conditioning and if teams, at the next level, can scheme him out and if a player such as him still has a place in the league. We've seen the league go from quick passing game to teams being forced to run against two-high safety looks and now back to a more spread it out passing game so with Jarrett not providing much pass rush, it'll be interesting to see if he's effective enough as a run stopper to make it worth it.

Titans wrap up draft with selection of Georgia's Gabe Harris Jr.
The Tennessee Titans end their draft by picking Georgia defensive end Gabe Harris with the tenth pick in the seventh round of the 2027 NFL Draft.
Harris had a really solid NFL Combine, leading all defensive ends with 27 reps in the bench press and a 7.27 3-cone which ranked inside the top seven.
The big sack numbers weren't there for Harris at Georgia and some wonder if the reported weight -- at 260 pounds -- is a bit bloated as he looks and plays leaner than that. As a seventh round pick, he's a roster bubble kind of guy but his athleticism and potential should make him a name to watch at the end of preseason and if he can make the most of those opportunities, he might be able to carve out a roster space for himself as that stand-up, end line player that we've seen the Titans use opposite of Rueben Bain at times.

Not a sexy draft but after going for JJ, you needed other positions filled that are not as exciting. From the few prospects I knew, it was a good draft. A few picks that might be questioned if you do not do well this season.

JJ was the equivalent of the Falcons trading up for Julio. Had the main pieces in place, needed the explosive playmaker. Rest of this draft is filling out the roster, I fucks with it.
Arch, Garrett Wilson, and Ryan Williams in New York?
