Saturday October 10, 2026 | Burgess–Snow Field at AmFirst Stadium - Jacksonville, Alabama | 7:30 PM

Jacksonville, Alabama - The Delaware Blue Hens showed no signs of slowing down Saturday night, unleashing a dominant performance on both sides of the ball to dismantle Jacksonville State 48–11 and remain unbeaten on the season.

Quarterback Mason Kelsay orchestrated another efficient outing, throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns while adding 101 yards and two more scores on the ground. His dual-threat command set the tone for a Delaware offense that racked up 511 total yards and found the end zone seven times.

Running back Darrion Dupree continued his breakout campaign, rushing 20 times for 128 yards and two scores, including a bruising 1-yard touchdown to open the scoring in the first quarter. Delaware would never trail, scoring 27 points by halftime while keeping Jacksonville State out of the endzone.

Jacksonville State managed just 5 total rushing yards on the night and didn’t find the end zone until midway through the third quarter, when Jack Moran connected with Alex Moore for a 16-yard touchdown and successful two-point conversion. By then, the damage had been done.

Delaware poured it on late with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, a Luke Brown 9-yard burst and a 39-yard strike to Thomas Amankwaa, who finished with six catches for 102 yards.

Defensively, linebacker Collin Gill led the team with 7 tackles while Kingsley Royal snagged an interception to halt a Gamecocks drive. Defensive tackle Francis Brewu was a disruptive force, tallying two tackles for loss and a sack.

With the win, the Blue Hens improve to 7–0 and continue to make their case as one of the top emerging programs in the nation.

RB Darrion Dupree | Dupree posted his best stat line of the season, going over 120 yards with two scores and routinely breaking tackles and gaining yards after contact.
WR Thomas Amankwaa | Amankwaa notched his third 100-yard game of the season, including a highlight 39-yard touchdown to put the game away in the fourth.
DL Francis Brewu | Brewu wreaked havoc up front, recording 2 tackles for loss and a sack while disrupting the pocket all night.
The Entire OL | Paved the way for 284 rushing yards, the big men up front dominated.
Trending Down
P Brock Glass | Another quiet week for Glass, who only punted once for 37 yards. Delaware’s success on offense has rendered him a spectator, but the lack of pin-deep production remains.
Quotables
OC DJ Porter | “That’s the vision. That’s the offense we’re building. When we can run the ball like that, everything opens up. Credit to the O-line, the backs, and Mason for managing it all.”
RB Darrion Dupree | “We felt like nobody could stop us tonight. We just kept leaning on them, and it felt like every drive ended in the end zone.”
Injury Notes
Delaware reported no new injuries after the win in Jacksonville.
News
QB Mason Kelsay | Kelsay's performance in the win over Jacksonville State earned him the CUSA offensive player of the Week.
DT Justice Griffen | Griffen has elected to sign with Maryland. He had Delaware third after Maryland and Rutgers.
Next Up
Delaware (7-0|4-0) will head south to face Louisiana Tech (3-2|1-0).

another strong start for the Hens. Can they finish out the season strong and avoid a slump to end the season?

If the Oline holds up, I'm taking the Hens in the CUSA CCG
injuries look like the only thing that can stop us right now
