Bill Connelly, ESPN: Eastern Michigan's top flight wide receiver Nick Devereaux is on the verge of an 1000-yard season in his final year of eligibility with the Eagles, sitting only 64 yards away after an impressive season leading their attack. Shutting him down will be paramount after the RedHawks' offense took it to the Golden Flashes' defense all game long last week. On the other side of things, it'll be interesting how Kent State wide receiver Ardell Banks responds after a game full of drops and miscues last week. Also important to look at will be quarterback Dru DeShields responding after one of his worst games of his career.

Experts Evaluations
Tom Fornelli, Writer: "It's really unfortunate that Kent State has to take on an absolute unit of a team like Eastern Michigan to finish off their regular season on the road with possibly more snow on the forecast after receiving a thumping like that last week. This game begins and ends with how they - and by proxy, Dru DeShields - takes care of the football. I expect this to be a high-scoring affair regardless of the weather, but I think Eastern Michigan takes a note out of Miami's book and tortures that Kent State offense.
Richard Johnson, Writer: "Ye' of little faith after Kent State took an uncharacteristically bad loss last week against Miami University. Sure, Dru DeSheilds didn't look good at all and the pass game was completely impotent. But, that feels more like an outlier than anything. I think Kent State rights the ship on the road and exits the 2026 season with 8 wins, which is insane to think of."
Chris Hummer, 247Sports Writer: "Jakorion, please. Stunt on these [redacted]. Kent State gets it together, completes a solid game, and finishes ontop. Underdog? Never heard of them."
