5 Offensive Coordinators to Watch This Carousel

We have, rightly so, been focused on potential head coaching movement for this upcoming carousel. We are anticipating hires happening earlier than usual and guys trying to assemble a staff and rosters in an expedited manner. But that is neglecting the coordinators, more of whom will move then head coaches in a given cycle. These are often times both the young and up and coming wunderkinds but also the fall guys when a head coach needs a sacrificial lamb to save his job. Here are five offensive coordinators who could be in high demand and move this offseason.

Allen Bobango
Memphis

Bobango has quietly put together one of the best offensive résumés in the country this season. Memphis (10-1, No. 10 CFP) ranks among the nation's best, averaging 32 points and 407.5 yards per game.

A program accustomed to strong offensive numbers under previous staffs, Memphis has taken another step forward under Bobango, and a CFP-ranked résumé at this level rarely stays available for long.

Expect his name to surface for both Group of Five head coaching openings and Power Four coordinator vacancies once Memphis's season concludes.

Nunzio Campanile
UConn

Campanile arrived at UConn this season after three years at Syracuse, the last two as offensive associate head coach and quarterbacks coach, where he helped quarterback Kyle McCord break or tie 24 program passing and total offense records en route to a top-10 Heisman finish.

The results have followed him to Storrs — UConn sits at 8-3, averaging 28.2 points and 400 yards per game, with a passing attack averaging 267.5 yards per game.

A Jersey native with deep regional recruiting ties (his father and two brothers are longtime New Jersey high school coaches, and another brother is an NFL defensive coordinator), Campanile has quickly proven his quarterback development chops travel. First-year success like this at a rebuilding program tends to get noticed.

Jaleel Mosley
Louisiana-Monroe

Mosley took over an ULM offense that finished among the worst in the country a year ago and has completely reversed course in his first season calling plays. The Warhawks lead the Sun Belt at 33.7 points per game, rank second in the conference in passing offense (302 yards per game), and sit at 481.9 total yards per game overall.

Mosley spent 17 years as an assistant before this job — including stops with Hal Mumme, Mike Leach, and Eric Morris — and his fingerprints are all over a offense that had nowhere to go but up.

A first-year track record like this at a program with ULM's recent history won't stay quiet for long.

Tony Tokarz
Buffalo

Tokarz came to Buffalo this season after six years at Florida State, the last four as quarterbacks coach, where he helped develop Jordan Travis into a top-five Heisman finisher and the ACC's 2023 Offensive Player of the Year.

Buffalo sits at 8-3 in his first season running the offense. The raw numbers haven't popped the way some others on this list have, but Tokarz's track record developing quarterbacks at a Power Four level — plus his ties to Buffalo head coach Pete Lembo dating back to their time together at Memphis — make him a name worth watching regardless of what the box score says.

Cam Aiken
James Madison

Aiken joined James Madison this season after a standout 2025 at ETSU, where he engineered one of the top offenses in the FCS. Before that, he spent two seasons under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss and nine years at Clemson, including two national championships.

JMU is 8-3 this season, averaging 28.6 points per game, with an offense ranking in the conference's top five in total offense, passing offense, and rushing offense. Aiken's track record — from Clemson's championship pipeline to a one-year FCS turnaround at ETSU to immediate success at JMU — reads like a coordinator built for a bigger job sooner rather than later.
