Feel like I sold my soul to get him though. Those were some unfortunate recruiting losses we suffered there.

The Reclamation Initiative | The Coaching Career of Nico Augustine

Saturday, November 1, 2030 | FirstBank Stadium (Nashville, TN)
Week 11 Preview: at Vanderbilt (3-5, 1-4)
Synopsis
The next SEC team that will fight for its life to avoid being the latest victim of the SMU season of steamrolling will be the Vanderbilt Commodores - a lower-tier SEC team that hasn't been able to get out of its own way with a disappointing defense that has been getting punished throughout their secondary. Matching them up against a pass offense that executes efficiently and without much difficulty, led by All-American caliber wide receiver Kenyon Natson and a dominant stable of running backs that features Dwayne Sowells, Brian Volson, and Shaq Thomas (not to mention Cal McCalebb), it might be quiet for Vanderbilt's chances to stay in the game.
Vanderbilt's offense has kept the Commodores in the competition so far, especially with the excellent play from senior Kerry Bowe. He hasn't thrown an interception, and throwing for over 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns while being a pocket passer is impressive in its own rights. However, he has benefitted from a solid first half of the season from number one wide receiver Seth Turner. However, Bowe suffers from not the best completion percentage. Everyone knows SMU loves to dial up the pressure on less mobile quarterbacks, so Vanderbilt's offensive line is going to have their work cut out for them.
This doesn't exactly smell like a trap game for SMU simply because Vanderbilt can't get after the quarterback and their secondary is less than good, but you never want to overlook a team in the SEC. Any given Saturday, right? Vanderbilt would have to play the perfect game and catch SMU asleep at the wheel to get an upset win here.

I guess the real question would be, is this gonna continue long enough for it to matter?

Sure looks like you're right and we're going to run the table. As for the screen?
Didn't want to leave them with any sort of false hope
