Djp continues to be anti-transfer portal with just seven from it, eh? Time to enter modern college football and buy them all Lamb trucks to get them down to Tampa!

On the portal it's more competition to get the 4* because usually you will have to fight over some big schools. A good starting point is just them being in the top 10 week 1 and trying to get complementary visits lined up. You also have to know when to back out as if not then you will not officially lose them till signing day. Depending on your in-house rules you can also search for no offers after a few weeks this will be more for 3* then 4. One of my major things I do is look for the 3* freshman from the elite schools. A lot of times those come in with good dev traits + skill points. Since they are 78 overall range usually not much competition and they will be 3*. Certain positions are harder to find like TE then easier to find like HB.

USF BULLS 2029 SPRING ROSTER PREVIEW

The expectations within the USF program is to improve on last year's CFP semifinal loss. If they are to accomplish that feat they will need to replace some significant players, including their top two receivers from 2028.
OFFENSE
QUARTERBACKS
#15 | Joshua Brantley | 6'3” | 229 | SR(RS)
#-- | Nicholas Earl | 6'4” | 172 | FR
#6 | Damarious Friend | 6'1” | 210 | JR(RS)
#11 | Locklan Hewlett | 6'1” | 199 | SR(RS)
#-- | Jeremy Maginn | 6'3” | 224 | JR(RS)
>>Hewlett took a bit of a step back last season after losing his top receiver from 2027. He will go in to 2029 as the unquestioned starter but he will be without his top two receivers from 2028. Hewlett will look to return to his 2028 form, cutting back on interceptions and pushing the ball down the field more aggressively.
RUNNINGBACKS
#29 | Richard Boireau | 5'09” | 206 | SO (RS)
#32 | Nicholas Daniel | 6'0” | 196 | SR
#20 | George Foucha | 5'11” | 183 | SO (RS)
#4 | George Shembo | 6'0” | 208 | SR
#1 | Steven Snead | 5'10” | 203 | SR
#22 | Jalen Stevens | 5'10” | 186 | SO (RS)
#2 | Connor Suggs | 5'08” | 205 | JR (RS)
#23 | Elton York | 6'1” | 182 | SR
>>Suggs burst onto the scene last season, taking the primary RB job and running for 1,357 yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging 7 yards per carry. Some have Suggs as an dark horse Heisman candidate. Shembo, Snead and Daniel all contributed in 2028 and should do so again in 2029, giving USF a very deep unit.
WIDE RECEIVERS
#19 | Josh Barr | 6'1” | 186 | FR (RS)
#-- | Steve Biggums | 6'2” | 209 | FR
#8 | Gerald Camarda | 6'1” | 172 | SO (RS)
#13 | Lyle Dragos | 6'2” | 179 | JR (RS)
#-- | Pat Gaydosh | 5'8” | 183 | FR
#-- | Dominick Moncrief | 6'3” | 209 | FR
#-- | Matt Roldan | 6'4” | 191 | FR
#18 | Dakota Smith | 6'1” | 177 | SO
#-- | Lamar Sweet | 6'3” | 212 | SR
>>Top receivers Bridgewater and Stoneburner are gone from last year. They combined for over 2,500 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. USF recruited the position hard, bringing in Biggums, Gaydosh, Moncrief and Roldan from the high school ranks while also adding Sweet, a transfer from Georgia Southern with 13 career touchdowns. Kyrie Michaels was not a significant contributor in 2028 but was expected to move up the depth chart for the 2029 season. He elected to transfer out. How this unit develops will be a major story line for USF in 2029.
TIGHT ENDS
#-- | Cam Deablo | 6'2” | 227 | FR
#84 | Henry Gregory | 6'6” | 221 | SR (RS)
#80 | Sergio Isaac | 6'6” | 221 | SO (RS)
#87 | Dalton Sahara | 6'5” | 204 | JR (RS)
>>TE was an underused position for the Bulls last season with Sahara's 10 receptions leading the group. With an unproven WR room it is expected that the TE position will be more of a factor in 2029. Deablo projects as a TE or LB/DE. We've included him here. He could be a significant addition to the rotation if he lands here.
OFFENSIVE LINESMEN
#56 | Oliver Ellefson | 6'4” | 283 | JR
#64 | Adam Forbes | 6'2” | 320 | SR(RS)
#75 | Sam Iupati | 6'4” | 317 | SO (RS)
#78 | Cliff Jean-Pierre | 6'4” | 306 | JR (RS)
#79 | Clint Kendricks | 6'5” | 325 | JR (RS)
#54 | Chester Knapp | 6'3” | 281 | SO (RS)
#72 | Enrique Lorenz | 6'4” | 315 | FR (RS)
#71 | John Olumba | 6'4” | 289 | JR (RS)
#52 | Emmett Parks | 6'3” | 298 | SR(RS)
#59 | Darren Sumner | 6'4” | 296 | SO (RS)
#73 | Daryl Treadwell | 6'6” | 304 | SR
#63 | Matt Toure | 6'2” | 309 | SO (RS)
#51 | Tyler Tuten | 6'1” | 307 | FR (RS)
#65 | Josh Yachty | 6'7” | 314 | SO (RS)
>>USF had one of the best offensive lines in the nation in 2028, even when they had to replace the injured TJ Lawrence. They will need to replace Lawrence and center Teriyan Morman. Treadwell, who replaced Forbes at RG midway through last season, will likely take one of the open interior starting spots while Forbes gets a chance to retake his. Jean-Pierre stepped in for Lawrence and may slide over to center as the starter.
DEFENSE
DEFENSIVE LINE
#33 | Greg DeMorat | 6'2” | 248 | SO (RS)
#94 | Jacques Doubs | 6'5” | 301 | SO
#92 | Marlon Doyle | 6'4” | 291 | SR
#96 | Quandre Dwumfour | 6'2” | 244 | JR (RS)
#-- | Erick Grymes | 6'3” | 250 | FR
#91 | Chad Harbor | 6'3” | 239 | JR (RS)
#-- | Jamerson Harris | 6'5” | 287 | SO (RS)
#90 | Matthew Hoppes | 6'3” | 232 | JR (RS)
#-- | Danny Ives | 6'4” | 215 | FR
#50 | Stanley Lanovoi | 6'1” | 307 | FR (RS)
#99 | Dom Nickey | 6'2” | 294 | SR
#46 | Connor Nicks | 6'2” | 236 | SO (RS)
#93 | David Nwaneri | 6'5” | 247 | SO (RS)
#74 | Tyrone Peppers | 6'3” | 304 | FR (RS)
#-- | Brian Royer | 6'3” | 282 | FR
#70 | Jahzir Sowells | 6'4” | 290 | FR (RS)
#98 | Kyle Spade | 6'2” | 216 | JR (RS)
#-- | Reed Spielman | 6'3” | 237 | JR (RS)
>>The defensive line may have taken the biggest hit in terms of talent leaving the program this past offseason. Kevin Wynn, Ira Singleton, Danny Felton and Jahari Grant were a huge part of the defense's success in 2029. They combined for 27 of the teams' 45 sacks. Tony White and defensive line coach Terrance Knighton will have to sort out the depth chart and use multiple personnel groupings to try to make up for the loss of talent up front. They are hopeful that Auburn transfer Jamerson Harris and Florida transfer Reed Spielman will have a big impact right away.
LINEBACKERS
#47 | Keon Brents | 6'3” | 228 | SO
#-- | Barry Boykins | 6'3” | 233 | FR
#55 | Antoine Brock | 6'1” | 210 | JR (RS)
#-- | Armon Chambers | 5'11” | 245 | JR (RS)
#11 | Frank Droege | 5'11” | 224 | SR
#44 | Mohammad Efaw | 5'11” | 226 | FR (RS)
#40 | Garrison LaRue | 6'2” | 234 | JR (RS)
#-- | Ralph Livings | 6'5” | 239 | JR
#-- | Greg Luck | 6'1” | 225 | JR (RS)
#27 | Enrique Sauer | 6'2” | 230 | FR (RS)
#-- | Jaren Skaggs | 4'11” | 221 | FR
#45 | Lonnie Terrell | 6'3” | 221 | FR (RS)
#28 | Peter Traore | 6'3” | 230 | SO
#-- | Theo Vaughns | 6'1” | 229 | FR
>>Eric Rance and Jermaine Dalais took 90% of the snaps at linebacker last season so a significant amount of experience has vacated the position group. Coach White and Coach Sims are encouraged by the talent they have to work with at the position, they'll just need to see who steps up in the spring. Transfers Ralph Livings (Wisconsin), Armon Chambers (Tennessee) and Greg Luck (Mississippi State) will have the inside track while holdovers Peter Traore and Frank Droege will likely be a big part of the rotation as well. Freshmen Barry Boykins and Theo Vaughns are great additions as well.
CORNERBACKS
#12 | Matt Ansah | 6'0” | 165 | SO (RS)
#-- | Ja'Quan Bean | 6'2” | 203 | FR
#3 | Gavin Jenkins | 6'2” | 173 | SR (RS)
#6 | Devin Nowell | 6'2” | 182 | JR (RS)
#-- | Joel Ogbuehi | 6'1” | 193 | FR
>>USFs cornerback group saw an influx of talent last season with transfers Vernon Woodward III and Cameron Keys transferring in. Keys burst onto the scene, picking off eight passes and generating late round draft interest. Woodward's contribution was quieter as he moved into the nickel spot and contributed in coverage as well as being a solid tackler. USF took a swing at a couple transfers at the position but missed out on bringing anyone in from the portal. They did sign four star Ja'Quan Bean (6'2”, 203) and three star Joel Ogbuehi to increase the talent level of the group. Who joins Jenkins on the field is a question that will be answered throughout the spring and fall practice sessions.
SAFETIES
#4 | Tracy Bennett | 6'1” | 205 | SR (RS)
#36 | Jathan Hatch | 6'2” | 192 | SR (RS)
#1 | David Igbinoghene | 6'2” | 196 | SR
#2 | Sidney James | 5'11” | 195 | SR
#7 | Nick Jones | 6'2” | 196 | SO (RS)
#13 | Immanuel Kush | 6'0” | 201 | SO
#0 | George Tull | 5'9” | 216 | JR (RS)
#5 | George Vales | 5'11” | 213 | JR (RS)
>>Safety is one of the few position groups without any turnover since last season, returning all of them from last season while adding none. The biggest gain at the position will be Nick Jones' return. Jones missed the bulk of last season with a torn rotator cuff. He was granted a medical redshirt and retains three years of eligibility. Igbinoghene, a converted cornerback, could possibly return to that role this season as the Bulls have a lack of experience there. Bennett and Hatch are expected to be in the rotation again while James, Tull, Kush and Vales all look for opportunities to contribute.
SPECIALISTS
KICKERS
#16 | Dom Bragg | 5'11” | 166 | SO
>>Bragg came in as a true freshman and had a great season, connecting on 14 of 17 field goal attempts including game winners. The coaching staff feels like he can develop into one of the best kickers in the nation.
PUNTERS
#39 | Luke Goater | 6'2” | 199 | SR (RS)
#19 | Dorian McSurdy | 6'5” | 219 | SR
>>Our notes from last season still apply here: McSordy hardly punted last season but when he did they were all good. He also did well as the kick off specialist.
