UL Monroe quarterback Aidan Armenta fully cleared for conference opener against South Alabama
The redshirt sophomore quarterback suffered broken ribs against Mississippi State and has missed the last three games.

MONROE, La. — Quarterback Aidan Armenta has been cleared to return to practice this week, head coach Bryant Vincent announced, making him available for Saturday's Sun Belt opener against South Alabama for the first time since going down with an injury in the season opener at Mississippi State.
Armenta was 16 of 28 for 107 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions before exiting that game, and has missed the last three contests. In his absence, Austin Carlisle has thrown for 1,137 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions across four games and three starts.
Despite Armenta's return to full health, Vincent said Carlisle will remain the starter against South Alabama.
"Aidan's earned the right to be back in this room competing, and it's great to have him healthy," Vincent said. "But Austin's has earned the start, and we're not making a change currently."
Offensive coordinator Jaleel Mosley echoed that sentiment, noting the competition at the position will likely continue as the conference slate unfolds.
"We're in a good spot at that position, honestly," Mosley said. "Whoever gives us the best chance to win each week is going to play. Right now that's Austin, but iron sharpens iron in that room."
ULM kicks off Sun Belt play Saturday against South Alabama.

Interesting to stick with the young gun despite some turnover concerns but you gotta ride the hot hand (ayo).
Going to go ULM +4.5 and the over. I think you've figured some stuff out after that last win.

Survived against FAU.
What’s the rationale behind adding players only at or below school over unless in top 5?
Even at K State that would be tough for me. They are a 2.5 star.
Recruiting 2 star QBs is nasty work.

The idea is that you're not just poaching players that other teams that are in your similar prestige aren't going to target because of the AI recruiting logic. For example, if I just target a bunch of three-stars with no offers, you can easily load up your squad compared to other teams in your conference who are going to be recruiting a bunch of 2/1 star players.
I've removed it because it would make it impossible to achieve some of my AD goals, which would hamper my ability to progress as a coach. I've left the other rule in place which requires them to be within my pipeline so at least there's a smaller pool of players to shamelessly poach from
