Eddie Guerrero put up a good fight against the newly crowned WWE Champion, The Rock, in one on one action to open up Smackdown! He had a lot of momentum going and went for the Frog Splash to win the match but Rock rolled out of the way at the last second. When Eddie got up, Rock was ready to hit him with a Rock Bottom to get the 1-2-3 and open up his championship reign with a big win. After the match Eddie offered Rock a handshake, but Rock slapped his hand away and told him to get the hell out of his ring.

Match #2: Stone Cold vs. Bret Hart | One on One
In a heated showdown between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart, tensions boiled over before the bell even rang. Finn Balor disrespects Xixak before the match with the bait-and-switch handshake.

Match #1: Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero | One on One

Winner: Rey Mysterio.

Match #2: Finn Balor vs. Xixak | One on One
Balor offered Xixak a handshake at the start of the match but pulled it away at the last second. That started the bout with some serious animosity. Xixak was getting outclassed early on by Finn though, taking some serious damage but managed to counter every time Finn went for the kill with a 1916 or Coup de Grace. Xixak eventually turned the tide, hitting Finn with the Xig-Xag for a two count. But when he went to put the match away with one of his new finishers the Coffin Drop, Finn rolled out of the way. He hit Xixak finally with the 1916 and then Coup de Grace to pick up a big victory over the former WWE Champion in a disappointing return to action for the X-Man.
