Aug 2025 -- Oldham Athletic have completed the sale of Regan Ogle to League One side Bristol Rovers for a reported $300,000, continuing the club's strategy of generating significant transfer income this summer.

The Latics have wasted little time reinvesting, securing the signing of experienced defender James Clarke from Newport County for a reported $78,000.

At 35, Clarke brings a wealth of EFL experience and leadership to Micky Mellon's squad. Capable of playing across the back line, he is expected to provide stability and depth to a defense that has undergone considerable change during the transfer window.

With Oldham netting more than $220,000 from the two deals, the club has once again balanced strengthening the squad with maintaining a healthy financial position as it continues forward in the 2025-26 League Two campaign.
