Filipa Patão addresses questions from the media regarding the upcoming season.
After an impressive campaign in 2031 that saw Racing Louisville win a second straight NWSL championship, head coach Filipa Patão is back for more.
Heading into her ninth season with the club, Patão has managed to win five championships (2026, 2027, 2028, 2030, & 2031) & has won the NWSL' Shield twice (2027, 2031).
A new season is ready to kick off on Sunday as Racing Louisville travels to San Diego for NWSL action against the Wave.

Adèle Connesson celebrates her third goal of the match as Racing goes up 4-0 early in the second half.
SAN DIEGO — The 2x defending champions, Racing Louisville FC, started the new NWSL season off with a bang with a 4-1 win over the Wave.
Racing's latest addition, Chloe Kelly, scored a goal in the first two minutes of her NWSL' debut. But that wouldn't be the biggest story from this game as the French striker, Adèle Connesson, went on a scoring rampage & finished with a hat-trick in the win.
"We couldn't have had a better season-opener." Louisville's captain, Ella Palis, told DS.net following today's game. "The chemistry is there & we're just happy to be playing again in a new season."
While Connesson & Kelly were leading the team in scoring, keeper Regina van Eijk was standing tall between the posts. Last season's Goalkeeper of the NWSL recorded 6 saves in the win against the Wave.
With their first victory under their belt, Racing Louisville FC will get to play in front of their home crowd as they host the Utah Royals at Lynn Family Stadium next Sunday on March 21st.
