As Tiny Jimenez prepares for the first game of the season against the Pelicans, his daughter Autumn is quick to remind him about how much time he last left playing in the NBA.

It's been a lengthy career for the #ShogunOfNewark & as he enters his 16th NBA season, all of the lights are on him for what to expect from his production this far into his career.

"Dad! We need to talk, now!" his daughter, Autumn, said as he was about to head to the arena.

"I'm walking out in 5 minutes. What's on your mind, kiddo?"

"I've been scared to say this all day but, Dad, I need to come to the game tonight. I know it’s a school night! But this isn’t just another game in your career. It's the first game of your 16th season and I need to be there." Autumn shouted.

"We’ve been over this in the past. School comes first. You’ve got class tomorrow, and I’m not having you half-asleep in there because you stayed up late just to watch me play basketball.."

"I know, Dad... but this isn’t about staying up late. This is about being there for you! You’ve always told us how important family is, how the moments we share define our legacy. I’ve been at your games since I was a little kid, but now I’m old enough to really understand what they mean. Tonight is special. I want to be there for you.. In case it's the last season-opener you ever have.." Autumn rebutted.

"Okay, Autumn... & how do you plan to handle school tomorrow? You’re already pushing it with this last-minute plea."

"I’ve got it all figured out. Homework? Done. Pop quiz? Prepped for. I’ll get up early and be on time. This isn’t about skipping responsibilities—it’s about learning. Watching you play teaches me more about leadership and hard work than I could ever learn in a textbook. I want to be a basketball player like you, Dad. Let me watch you play tonight, please!"

"You’re pulling out all the stops, huh? What if I say no?"

"Then I’ll accept your decision, but I’ll also regret not seeing this game for the rest of my life, especially if it's your last season! You’re not just my dad—you’re my inspiration. Let me be there to cheer for you and learn from you. Please, Dad!" Autumn begged as she tugged on Tiny's heartstrings.

"You’ve been hanging around AJ too much with all this bowing and dramatics.. But okay, you win. However, you’re sitting courtside with security right behind the bench, and the second the game ends, you’re in the car heading home. Deal?"

"Deal! Thank you, Dad!! I promise I’ll make you proud... tonight and tomorrow!"

"You already do, Autumn. Now hurry up and grab your stuff.. We’ve got a home-opener to win."
