Wings Expected To Be Without Arike Ogunbowale After A Collapsed Lung Against The Fever


Arike Ogunbowale is helped off the floor with her teammates in last night's loss.

The injury bug strikes the Dallas Wings again & this time it's All-Star guard Arike Ogunbowale. Last night against the Fever, Ogunbowale would run into a hard screen set by a Fever' player that forced her to the floor.

The Dallas Wings' medical staff has ruled that she has a collapsed lung & will be out of action for around two weeks. Ogunbowale played 4 minutes last night without scoring a basket.

The Wings are also still without forward Emily Engstler while she rehabs a strained left hip. Without the two veterans, Dallas will have to make the most of it's depth in future games.

Head coach, Chris Koclanes, has announced that rookie Aziaha James will start in place of Ogunbowale.
