To summarize Delaware's first half in three words: Riley Trujillo fumble. In fact, he fumbled three times before the end of the half. HOLD ON TO THE BALL, YOUNG MAN. Who do you think you are? Derrick Henry? Thanks to the freshman quarterback, Delaware's offense was never able to gain any momentum and went scoreless in the first half. If there was even a sliver of progress, Trujillo would fumble the ball away to the defense.
Luckily, it is a story of two halves. The Blue Hens took better care of the ball and resulted in them scoring 24 points in the second half, which was enough for them to win the game. Trujillo showcased his dual threat ability once again with 200+ yards both in the air and ground each with an overall total of 3 touchdowns tonight.
