OH SHIT HOW DID I MISS THAT LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO

low key SMU is a great team. You gotta fight with Texas and A&M for the top in-state recruits, but if you keep them rolling like the wolves you'll be there in no time

solid move to SMU. Good luck in the ACC! Lots of fun environments to play in over there.

Let's see how the jump to the ACC with a new team goes!

Bring back the Pony Express success now that paying players is legal :blessed:

That tease with Minnesota though :curtain:
Pretty excited to see how I do against legitimate competition. Always find myself back in the ACC. Minnesota and Kentucky were pretty intriguing offers but SMU just felt like the right move.

Life after Kevin Jennings the ultimate challenge for incoming Coach Augustine
By Veronica Downs | SMU Daily

If you were to ask newly-minted head coach Nico Augustine about the challenge he is facing this off-season, his answer would renew some confidence for the Mustang faithful.

"They didn't hire me for my pretty face."

The coach faces a tall task ahead of him, no longer being afforded an in-house quarterback that provides much to have confidence in. At Arkansas State, he was given the task of working with All-Sun Belt quarterback Jaylen Raynor. Not only did they never lose a Sun Belt game, Raynor quickly went on to become the best player in college football, winning the Heisman Trophy and levee of other trophies. A combatant of Raynor will also be joining him in the NFL rather than getting the opportunity to work with Augustine and his offense.

Kevin Jennings and his 4,000+ passing yard seasons will be heading to the NFL after graduating from SMU, leading them to the College Football Playoff. He was the second player drafted to the league from the Mustangs this season after star tight end Luke Masz went 14th overall to the New York Giants, joining quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receiver Malik Nabers, and their strong offense.

Expected to take the brunt of the carries next season, Dramekco Green has opted to instead jump into the portal for greener pastures after not getting too much touches behind Kyson Brown last season, who will also be graduating.

The team will have their hands full in the transfer portal this season, having to replace their starting offensive tackles, quarterback, runningbacks while also plugging multiple holes in their defensive front.

"I'm not too nervous. Getting to lose the guys in the eyes and let them know what I'm about and what they can look forward to building here," commented head coach Nico Augustine. "They know what they are going to get here. If you can't hack it, we won't ever lock you in. The door is always open."

More quality losses than quantity. Hopefully, we can get some stop-gaps in the portal to maintain things.
